Dominique Moceanu Set To Release Autobiography, Off Balance, In June - January 30, 2012

1996 Olympic gold medalist, Dominique Moceanu is set to release a new autobiography this summer. Dominique was a member of the incredible Magnificent Seven women's gymnastics team that won gold in 1996 in Atlanta. Dominique has a very storied career in the world of gymnastics whether it is team or individual. Here is the official write up preview for her book.

Ferris Bueller Returns In New Super Bowl Ad - January 30, 2012

I have been excited to see this commercial since I heard about it. Matthew Broderick has reprised his role as Ferris Bueller in a new Super Bowl ad for Honda. If you're a fan of Ferris Bueller's Day Off, you are going to love a lot of the things in this commercial whether it is the lines, the art gallery shots, or whatever else. Goodbye and Thank You Chuck - January 27, 2012

Thank you Chuck. A little over five years ago, I got to watch a sneak preview of the pilot episode of Chuck. I loved it immediately. All these years later, I was sitting glued to tonight's series finale. This episode had everything that I've always loved about the show especially the last twenty minutes. We really went full circle with this finale. Sarah losing her memories thanks to the intersect. Chuck having to try and win her back. We really saw a lot of what Sarah was like at the beginning of the show where it was just a job for Sarah. No emotional connection. Yet, they would show us every so often tonight that maybe those memories and the person that she became was still in there. Not only were we seeing retro Sarah but we got a lot of retro Chuck too. Seeing a lot of what he was like in the beginning but yet seeing the person that he grew into. Lots of fun retro moments with the locations that they ended up at. They were able to prevail after saving Beckman from the bomb with a little help from Jeffster who saved the day. Ellie's plan for using the intersect glasses one more time had a change of plans. It could either be used for the intersect or for it to be a way to put memories back in Sarah's head to see if it would help her out. However, the bomb had to be stopped so Chuck had to take the intersect to make the save so he could stop the bomb. Sarah's suggestion on the virus to stop the bomb again gave us a clue that maybe those memories of hers were coming back. Linda Hamilton returning for the finale as Chuck's mom was great. When I saw the scene with Jeff and Lester saying that they were going to help and then cut to the orchestra, I was thinking this has to be a Jeffster farewell for us. It was awesome and I now have yet another 80's song that I will always associate to this show which is "Take On Me". LOL. And, that is a good thing for sure. So, what happened with everyone? Well, Casey had his farewell which included a hug for Chuck. I definitely teared up on that one cause that was a big moment after the rollercoaster ride those two have had for the full series. Casey was off to find his love from all indications with Gertrude. Morgan and Alex told Casey that they were moving in together. That was no surprise to Casey as he already figured it out. Jeffster were picked up by an international recording company. I guess Big Mike stays at the Buy More cause that is really all we saw there. However, we did see that Subway was coming in which was fitting. Subway has been a huge part of this show's history and were a big help. Awesome and Ellie were recruited for new jobs in Chicago. So, what about Chuck and Sarah? Well, we got left on a cliffhanger there of sorts. They met on the beach at the end which was a retro moment. Sarah knew it was a special place for them which shows that she still is getting some of her memories back. She asked Chuck to tell her their story which he did including a lot of clips thrown in. The series ended with Chuck mentioning Morgan's idea. A kiss would bring all her memories back. Sarah said to kiss her which he did. The kiss was how it ended. So, did it bring her memories back? Will he have to win her all over again? I guess we won't find that out but it was a great ending. I'm thankful that we got to have a farewell season as it was a lot of fun. This season had a little bit of everything and we got to see a lot of twists with the intersect. So, we say goodbye to Chuck after five seasons. One of the most fan friendly cast and crews I've ever seen. This show is so great to its fans whether it is online, Comic Con, Chuckfest, or whatever else. They care about their fans and go out of their way to interact with them. I wish more shows would look at this show and take notes of that. The fans have been a huge part of this show. Fan campaigns to keep it going. The Subway campaigns. Down to the wire on being renewed while the fans fight, fight, and fight to keep it going. All these years later of fighting, we got five great seasons. Tonight's finale did what the show has always done. It gave us every emotion. All of us Chuck fans loved this show. Loved these characters. Loved this cast. Loved this crew. To that, all of us Chuck fans say thank you to everyone involved in this great show. Thank you for the great ride over the last five years. Carrie Underwood Announces New Single, "Good Girl" - January 25, 2012

Carrie Underwood left fans with a good wake up call this morning. Carrie announced the news that her new single will be released soon. The title of it is "Good Girl". This will be the first single off of her upcoming fourth album. "Good Girl" will be going to radio on February 23rd. This is just the first of what should be a bunch of big announcements in the upcoming weeks and months. No release date on the album as of yet. We should also be expecting tour news sometime soon too as she has said recently that she will be on the road a lot in 2012. There was also an announcement a few days ago about the newest CMT Crossroads special which will have Carrie involved. She will team up with Steven Tyler on February 4th live on CMT. This will be taking place from Super Bowl weekend and will be the night before the Super Bowl. Based on what we heard a while back with this pair teaming up, this special should be amazing. There are a lot of songs from Steven Tyler that I would love to hear Carrie belt out so that should be exciting to watch. The Big Bang Theory Turns 100 - January 19, 2012

The Big Bang Theory has hit the big 100. 100 episodes that is! When I first saw the previews of the pilot episode for this show, I knew it had potential to be funny, very funny. I watched the first episode and have been hooked ever since. This show is so great at taking the smallest of things and making them into a full fledged meltdown deal among these characters. The show has added some cast members along the way that have brought a lot to the show and evolved the original characters into what they've become. I laugh at this show more than anything on TV and really how can you not laugh at the shouting matches between Howard and his mom? Come to think of it, how can you not laugh at Bernadette now being in the middle of those shouting matches? How can you not laugh at Penny's facial expressions when dealing with her favorite neighbors? I've cheered for Leonard and Penny since episode one of wanting them to get together and the story of those two has given us many seasons of entertainment so far. The Big Bang Theory premiered back in 2007 and had a fan following immediately. Now, it is one of the biggest TV shows in the world. Great cast, crew, and writers. CBS has put together this video of the best moments in the show's first 99 episodes. Only thing missing is Will Wheaton and Soft Kitty. Fun trip down memory lane.

Idol Ratings Down, Survivor One World Cast Announced - January 19, 2012

Is American Idol getting lost in the mix? That is a lot of the big talk during the last week as the season premiere of Idol got closer and closer. Then, this morning came the news that the ratings were down fairly significantly from the previous season for last night's premiere. 24% drop last year but it should still be pointed out that the show still had over 21 million viewers last night. I didn't watch it. I do have it DVR'd but I'm not sure if I'll take the time to watch it. I guess it just depends on what else there is to watch or do. With Idol now sharing time with The X Factor and The Voice, there is a lot of music competition shows out there taking up TV time. A LOT of TV time. I spoke earlier that I really liked The X Factor but the episodes were just too long to commit to every week. Something that kind of run me out with Idol in recent years was where we were getting one hour results shows when we really didn't need it and felt like a ratings grab. I just haven't been able to get interested in Idol in recent years and that is way down from when I was glued to it years ago. The Voice will have its second season premiere following the Super Bowl. I do plan on tuning into that. The audition format was something so fun and unique with that show that it hooked me. Plus, a lot of good talent on there to go along with the fun format. It will be interesting to see where fans of this genre of TV put their viewership on these shows. Will it be to all of them, some of them, or one of them?

Survivor released its cast list for the new season. One World is the theme this year with the castaways being in two tribes but living on the same island. Redemption Island is also gone for this season which is a good thing probably. It was an interesting twist but I think another season of it would get kind of boring. It was starting to get to the borderline of boring toward the end of last season. One thing I like about Survivor is that they are on top of things when to do and not do something. It appears that we have no returning cast members this season and have a fresh cast. So, what about the cast? Here we go.

Jana Kramer Finishes One Tree Hill and Already Setting Records With Her Music Career - January 19, 2012

Jana Kramer wrapped up her time on One Tree Hill with Tuesday night's episode. Life imitated art for Jana just like it did for her character, Alex Dupre. Alex was written off the rest of the season as she pursued her music dream leaving her romance with Chase behind. The tour was set up by none other than Chris Keller. Disappointing that we won't get any more scenes with the characters of Alex and Chris because they were gold on just two episodes. Actually, it was gold in just the first episode. Now, Jana Kramer is following her real life music career dream. Her songs have been featured on the show over the last several months and gotten a lot of buzz. Fitting that on the day of her last show airing, the news came out that she set a record with her single, "Why You Wanna", becoming the most added new country artist to radio since the start of the Country Air/MediaCheck chart was started. I like the song more everytime I hear it with how catchy it is. Definitely a very radio friendly song. Her songs are available to download on iTunes and doing very well. Jana will have her debut album released later this year from Warner Music Nashville. Haven't heard her new song "What I Love About Your Love"? Well, here you go with the music video debut.

Favorite One Tree Hill Episodes Over The Years - January 11, 2012

One Tree Hill begins its farewell season tonight on The CW. It should be a roller coaster ride of emotions for all of us fans. It will be exciting thought. Also, be sure to check out Jana Kramer's new song, "What I Love About Your Love" on tonight's episode. It is also already available for purchase on iTunes as well.

With tonight's premiere, I thought it might be fun to look back on some of my favorite episodes over the years. These are in no order at all. These are just some of my favorite episodes and doesn't necessarily have to revolve around a major happening in the show. Plus, maybe I'll pick some that don't get as much attention. Although I'm noticing I have a lot of the more popular ones on this list.

Season One - The Pilot. I wrote about this in another article but One Tree Hill was a show that I knew I needed to check out at the time of the premiere. I checked out the premiere and got hooked into the story immediately. The build of these characters throughout the series premiere led us to the river court for the big showdown with Lucas and Nathan. The showdown had so much drama around it. When Lucas nailed that turnaround jumper against Nathan to win the shot as "Rest In Pieces" played in the background, I was immediately a fan. It was the perfect ending to that episode. One of One Tree Hill's strong points has always been music and the right song can take a scene to a whole different level. This scene set the stage for Lucas joining the basketball team, getting noticed by Peyton, and Nathan getting his reality shaken quite a bit by his brother.

Season Two - I Will Dare. The new troublemaker in town, Felix, gets a dare night going for the Tree Hill crew. This puts many in awkward situations but provides a lot of laughs too. How about that karaoke session with Mouth and Skillz? LOL. Lucas meets Anna which we later get the big twist of learning it is Felix's sister. Peyton makes a big admission. One of those episodes that I still remember years later with a lot of memorable moments.

Season Four - Some Your Give Away. The center of this episode is obviously on the state championship game and the drama surrounding it. Nathan is stuck with a tough decision on his hands with the betting drama. He agrees to throw the game which means he gets frozen out by his teammates when word gets out over what is going on. Nathan's mind is changed and the Ravens go for the win. Lucas has the big game moment which brings the house down with cheers. Whitey gets his big moment as well. Then, we get the moment of Lucas and Peyton getting back together that was replayed for seasons after that. Triumph turns to tragedy quickly as Nathan's decision effects his wife. Haley is hit by Daunte's car leaving her and the baby in serious condition. In typical One Tree Hill drama fashion, as Lucas is checking on her, down he goes with a heart problem. I remember watching this thinking you have got to be kidding me, they are both down!! LOL. Dan takes the fall for Nathan after Nathan ends up finishing off Daunte for what he did. A LOT happened in this episode and had your emotions all over the place. When I think big episodes, this is one that always comes to mind.

Season Four - It Gets The Worst At Night. I love this episode for several reasons. The biggest is the tie in with the town that got to host the show for this episode, Honey Grove, TX. If you haven't seen the extra on the season four DVD set, you really need to check it out as there is a great featurette about the making of this episode and how the town of Honey Grove welcomed them in. The story of the episode is that Mouth is in jail and the gang takes off to go help him after getting a hilarious text. They end up getting a retake of their high school prom after things didn't go so well at Tree Hill with their original prom night. It also provides a funny return for Chris Keller. LOL. That is a lot of fun and just the overall atmosphere of taking the show on the road and including the local fans in it was a lot of fun.

Season Four - All Of A Sudden I Miss Everyone. The end of the high school era for the Tree Hill gang. We finally have the birth of Jamie Scott. Lily is born. Dan turns himself in after a season full of guilt. A farewell party ensues with a lot of closure happening among the gang followed by a farewell at the river court. One of the best moments of the episode is Mouth doing what he has wanted to do for years and that is go and kiss Brooke Davis. Hilarious stuff especially with her shocked reaction to it.

Season Five - For Tonight You're Only Here To Know. The gang returns to Tree Hill High for the first high school basketball game. Some familiar faces coaching the Ravens. Mouth goes back to his roots for getting his media savvy self going. The girls end up back in the library….for longer than they had planned after the door locks them inside. This brings back Tim as the pizza delivery guy who was supposed to be their ticket out of the library. Instead, he gets to take part in the reunion. After revealing that he knew how to have opened the door at any time, he says that nobody would have stayed and hung out if he had opened the door which I thought was a fitting end to that episode. The drama and heat between Lindsey and Peyton comes to a head as their boiling point is reached and Peyton reveals that they had been proposed to with the very same ring. I also thought this episode was an even bigger launching pad for Mia. It got her involved with the crew and showed her as a major part of the new post high school era.

Season Five - Hundred. These weddings at Tree Hill never go well. LOL. You just cringe waiting for something to go wrong. Well, not all of them go bad as we saw last season with Brooke and Julian but history was not on their side. This episode had a little bit of everything. Lindsey leaves Lucas at the altar. Jamie gets kidnapped by nanny Carrie. Dan ends up being the hero….and later gets beaten up for it. LOL. I loved the shot and reaction of Jamie returning back to his family after Dan saved him. Perfection with how it was done. We also saw a lot of familiar faces return for the wedding.

Season Six - Forever and Almost Always. The wedding day finally arrives for Lucas and Peyton. Haley ends up being brought in as the substitute minister which was a fun moment with the best friend getting to marry Lucas and Peyton. Julian getting punched by Nick Lachey after saying it's hot and must be 98 degrees in there was hilarious. The whole back and forth with jealousy being played between Brooke and Julian was funny throughout. I love the stuff with Jamie being on a leash hooked to Skillz after what happened at the last wedding. Just thought that was hilarious.

Season Eight - Darkness On The Edge of Town. This was one of the most thrill riding hours of TV that I've ever seen. A storm hits Tree Hill and it fits the mood all around. Brooke ends up in a life threatening situation with Jamie as Julian saves the day. Katie returns to face off with Quinn in a stress filled sequence throughout the show. I felt like I even needed to go take a breath after watching this episode. LOL. Just one of the most on the edge of your seat episodes of the whole series run.

Season Eight - This Is My House, This Is My Home. This very well could have served as a great series finale if it had ended up being that. A lot of time is covered in this episode and a lot happens. Brooke and Julian ended up getting more than they bargained for as they end up with not just one baby but two. Haley and Brooke reopen Karen's Cafe. Chase goes off to the Air Force leaving Alex but also Chuck. Chase and Alex reunite at the end and let me just say that I am a huge Jana Kramer fan. I think she is great on this show and that character of Alex has evolved so much over the last few seasons. This episode which showed a year of events was so well done. The ending sequence showing Jamie Scott dribbling that basketball over that bridge could not have been more perfect. It made me think how I demand that they do that shot again for the series finale. I also wondered how do you top that full circle moment for the last shot of the series? I guess we'll have to wait and see what they came up with for the end of the show.

Just some of my many favorite episodes. So many of my favorites that can't even fit in a list. This show has provided so many great memories over the years and tonight begins the farewell. It is definitely this feeling among fans that we have grown up with these characters and are now waiting to see what happens with their lives. Have fun watching the premiere tonight! Dating Rules From My Future Self Premieres - January 9, 2012

I always love hearing news about a web series getting going. Something good about where you can just launch it online and bypass the networks all together. Keep your control of it and you don't have to worry about the network suddenly just pulling the rug out from under you. The latest web series that is being buzzed about is "Dating Rules From My Future Self" and is produced by Alloy Entertainment. The show stars Shiri Appleby of Life Unexpected and Roswell fame. She plays 29 year old Lucy who finds herself about to take a huge step in her dating life and starts to get text messages from her future self. Her future self is ten years down the line. The texts are advice on things to do or not do to help her change her dating life. The show debuts today online and the first episode is already available. I really enjoyed it! A lot gets accomplished in just the first episode and with under ten minutes. The set up of the story is good. I like the casting and production of it. Shiri is great as always. I'm curious to see where the story goes from here. Clever way to tie the dating world into the technological world. I think this show hits on something that we all think about. What if we could go back and tell ourselves something that we learned along the way? What if you could prevent a mistake from happening? Especially in the dating world. Rolling into 2012, can you believe it? Praying that all of you have a great 2012 ahead of you. Just thought I'd post some random stuff on the site today.

It's January and CMA Fest news is already getting out. Well, it's actually been getting out for several weeks now but Carrie Underwood is the first name to be announced as appearing at LP Field at CMA Fest. The Band Perry has been announced since then along with Jason Aldean. If you haven't been to CMA Fest week, I highly recommend it. It is a lot of fun and a great atmosphere.

I watched quite a bit of the X-Factor over the last few months. I stopped watching about midway through though mostly cause it was so hard to watch. I'm talking about length wise. These episodes were just way too long especially on a weekly basis that I just couldn't keep up. Finding the show to view if your DVR misses it was frustrating too. There were times when the show was bumped from its timeslot during the season cause of other programming. Not available to watch online at all. When I found it available to watch On Demand, there were two frustrations with it. One was the fact that every episode was only available for something like three days to watch which kept you limited especially if you wanted to view several to get caught up. Two was the fact that they wouldn't let you fast forward at all through the On Demand viewings. What frustrated me with that was that if I didn't watch all of an episode in one viewing, I couldn't fast forward it to where I left off. It does hold your spot for 24 hours or so but what if I'm not able to get back to it in 24 hours? I don't want to watch the same hour and a half that I just watched. So, I just finally gave up on trying to keep up with the show. I did enjoy it with what I saw of it and there was a lot of strong talent on there.

Live With Kelly has been a lot of fun so far. I laugh at these articles that keep popping up about how it is down to a certain list of candidates. I don't think the show even knows who they are going to narrow it down to. We're still in the "dating" stage at this point cause it does feel like a dating game. LOL. Watching and looking for chemistry. The best so far though has been Neil Patrick Harris's week when he co-hosted. The two have a lot of chemistry together but Neil is of course locked down on another TV show so that isn't an option. If you didn't see the clip of Kelly, Neil, and Science Bob, well, you missed a lot! The most I've laughed at TV in a long time!

Since I'm talking about Kelly's, let's talk about another one. Kelly Clarkson. I'm currently listening to her new album and am loving it so far. This album is everything that I have loved about Kelly Clarkson over the years. Hopefully, I can do a full review of this album in the near future. If you haven't seen her video for "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)", check it out. It is a lot of fun including a flash mob.

Revenge has been one of the big hits of the new fall season. I didn't feel a lot of buzz about the new fall TV season overall this year but Revenge has been one of those shows that has broken out of the pack. I haven't seen it and can't comment on it but I wouldn't mind checking it out just for Emily Van Camp. I think she is a definite talent.

Is anyone else as glued to Friends reruns on Nick at Nite as I am? I can't turn them off once I get started. I've seen these episodes over and over again and I'm still laughing at the same jokes. One of my favorites aired the other night with the episode of the bet over Monica and Rachel's apartment. Just one of those feel good shows that you enjoy sitting down after a long day and watching and laughing at to finish the night.

One Tree Hill Approaches Its Final Season - January 6, 2012

Wednesday, January 11th will bring a night that is exciting but yet very bittersweet for One Tree Hill fans. That is the night that the final season begins. A countdown to goodbye if you will. I count myself in that category as well cause I am also a long time fan of the show. I still remember the fall of 2003 when I saw this show called One Tree Hill and gave it a view one night. At the time, I was missing Dawson's Creek as I was a huge fan of that show. Here comes One Tree Hill and it was ready to fill that niche and there was also the great thing of it filming in the same city in Wilmington. I was working nights by myself at my job. I tuned in to watch the pilot episode on the WB. The first episode laid the ground work of all of these great characters that we've ran a ton of different emotions with over the years. I was hooked the second that Lucas nailed that turn around fade away on Nathan as the crowd celebrated along with "Rest In Pieces" playing in the background. I still do remember that night of watching that show and around nine years later, it is this feeling of growing up with these characters. Some have moved on, some have stayed, and some have returned but they left a mark on One Tree Hill fans. Last night was the One Tree Hill event in Los Angeles and there were a lot of tears by all reports from the event coming from fans, the crew, and the cast. This show has left a mark on all of them. Just the fact that they would do an event like this says a lot about that group. One Tree Hill is truly one of the most fan friendly shows that I have ever seen. They interact with the fans. They seek input from the fans. They love the fans. So, the excitement level kicks in as we wait for this final season premiere next week. The show has wrapped as far as filming and you could feel the emotions from the cast just by reading the comments on Twitter from that week. What is going to happen this final season? Well, I haven't read any spoilers and nor do I want to. It's going to be a big one just based on the comments from the cast and crew last night in LA. Want a tease of this season? Lady Antebellum Brings The Own The Night Tour To Murray, KY - December 11, 2011

Lady Antebellum brought their Own The Night tour to Murray, Kentucky's CFSB Center on Sunday night. To say this was a great show would be an understatement. I am definitely a Lady A fan and was really looking forward to seeing them. I did not make it in time for the opening acts so I can't comment on that portion of the show but I was happy to see them later included in the Lady A portion of the show. If you are not wanting spoilers on the show, you might want to stop reading this. This tour is far from over so I don't want to ruin any surprises for anyone not wanting them. The CFSB Center looked great for the show and I want to give thanks to the great staff and crew there including the one working at the box office who helped me find a great seat for the show. The whole setup was just impressive as can be. Before the show, there was a lot of fun to be had with the dance party going on. One of the better ways that I've seen for people to be entertained while waiting for the show to get going again. Cameras were out in full force with the best dancers being put up on the big screen. People of all ages were having fun with this and the music sounded awesome in the building. Just a lot of fun! The show opened big with a great intro video that looked impressive on those three screens up there. The crowd was fired up immediately as the show opened with "We Owned The Night" as they came up underneath the stage. Just an awesome visual to start the show. Going from that into "We're All Stars Tonight" was the perfect start for me. The crowd was big time into it and singing along with the songs. I think they played every favorite song of mine. The performance of "Hello World" was so good. We had the really great laid back slow part of it and then just blasted into the big finish of it. It looked and sounded amazing. Lady A, their band, Josh Kelley, and Eden's Edge all got to jam together out on the ramp toward the end of the show as they also included some Christmas music in that as well. Funny moment with a fan's Christmas decorations being borrowed for part of the performance. One really fun surprise of the show was the cover of Aerosmith's "Sweet Emotion". I heard the guitar start and was excited to hear how it sounded. Great cover of it. "Run To You" really looked like a fan tribute right down to the meet and greet pictures on the screen and then Charles Kelley roaming around in the crowd. The ending of the show was just perfect. Now, if you're a fan, you know that there was one song that had yet to be performed and that was "Need You Now". They come back for an encore with the lights out. The piano starts with those addictive notes and we get the big finish of that song. It sent the crowd home very happy.

One thing that I really love is just how much they do for their fans on this tour with being interactive and all. They allow fans to vote at the shows picking between four different songs on what they want to be hear performed. Also, it appears that they are uploading pictures from every tour stop on to their Facebook page. That is something that I think is really cool. It gives fans another opportunity to grab some pictures of their concert tour stop. I can't think of anyone else that does that off the top of my head.

I know I've used the word "great" five million times in this recap but that is the best way to describe it. It was a great show all around. If you get the opportunity to see a Lady Antebellum show, go see it. You will not be disappointed. One of the best concerts that I've ever seen.

Regis Says Farewell On Live With Regis and Kelly - November 18, 2011

I haven't had as much time to do anything with the site lately but I had to speak about the big happening this morning on TV. Regis Philbin saying goodbye. It was announced a while back that Regis would finally move on from the show. Live With Regis and Kelly has been doing a great job for Regis's farewell over the last several months. This has included tributes, really fun highlight clips looking back at his career, and surprise guests. Today's show had an audience full of friends, family, and colleagues throughout Regis's career. I have to comment on the opening of the show cause it was absolutely perfect. Letting us in to see Regis's start to every day where he walks down the hall greeting people and finishes with knocking on Kelly's door to get her to start the show. Just perfect and so fitting for us to see his walk for the final show. We got to see that journey just as we've seen his journey for so many years. The great moments of his, the family moments, the moments with friends, and also the tough moments of his life too. I watched with tears in my eyes throughout the show as we all said goodbye to Regis. I grew up watching the show. When I started hearing the date of 1988 as when the show went national, I started thinking about how that was right around the time that I started watching. As a kid, I always loved watching Live With Regis and Kathie Lee. The show was so fun. It became a big time morning tradition of mine. We said farewell to Kathie Lee and Kelly Ripa was the perfect person to step into the role of the new co-host for Regis. She just won us all over immediately that first day that she co-hosted. We knew that she was the one to put beside Regis. Regis and Kelly are part of my morning routine. They are part of that normalcy and it was never more apparent around the time of the 9/11 attacks. That week was anything but normal for all us going through such a tough tragedy. When Regis and Kelly returned to TV, they brought back that normalcy and brought us smiles when we needed them. That goes to what Kelly said to Regis this morning. There are so many people out there going through tough times and Regis has provided so many smiles and laughs to them. It made me tear up because it is so true. He has been part of that comfort that is brought into our homes. I found it fitting that this morning I was laying in bed watching this farewell show just like any other morning. Always getting my mornings off to a great start smiling and laughing with Regis and Kelly. It was fitting that one of the great highlight packages this morning was set to the song "Smile". Thank you Regis for these amazing years that you have given to all of us viewers. There aren't even words enough to say thank you. This morning I posted on Twitter and just kind of laughed at the thought of trying to say thank you in under 140 characters. There is just no way possible. We just stand and applaud and tear up as you move on to the next step in your career. We're going to miss you deeply. Monday morning, we start a new chapter with Kelly Ripa. Tradition continues on with this show as Kelly and a soon to be named co-host will keep those smiles and laughs coming at me every weekday morning. I'm excited for Kelly and am looking forward to seeing what great things are ahead for her. We all love her a lot and she's going to get a ton of support from all of us fans. It was an incredible farewell and I want to say thank you to the show and all the people that work so hard behind the scenes to give Regis the great tribute that he so deserved. In finishing, what else can be said? Thank you Regis!!

Scream 4 Movie Review - October 5, 2011

When it comes to the horror/scary movie genre, I just am not interested in it. I used to watch them when I was younger at times but just have no time for them anymore. Well, except for one that I made an exception for and that is the Scream franchise. I went with a group of friends to see the first Scream at the movies back in 1996 and we were glued to it. My memory of watching that in the theater was me and my friend constantly leaning over to one another saying "that is the killer". Truth is that we probably had it right at one point cause we probably named every character in the movie by the end of it. It has become one of my favorite movies of all time and I did watch all of the sequels to it. I was speaking of Scream 2 and 3. Well, 2011 hits and it is time for a remake to be released. Scream 4 hit theaters earlier this year and has now just been released on DVD and Blu-ray as well. When I first heard that there was going to be a fourth movie, my first reaction was not very positive. You always have to be careful when franchises continue to go high in their number of movies. Most of the time they will get worse. When the talk was about bringing back the original cast, it made me think more optimistic. When the promotion started for Scream 4, all the negative thoughts went away and I thought I have to see this movie. I have to know where the story goes from here. With the DVD release, I checked out Scream 4. I am not going to go into spoilers on this movie because part of the fun of these movies has always been the guessing game that ensues. I will however kind of preview it for you to give you an idea of what the story is going to be. The Scream franchise has always been more than a just normal horror type series. I think part of the allure of these films has been the mystery and suspense of them. Trying to guess what is happening. Who is behind it? What will happen next? This fourth installment of Scream does a great job of recreating itself while also paying homage to the original. Back for this new movie are Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox-Arquette, and David Arquette in their original roles. Has Neve Campbell aged at all??!! She looks like she could jump right back into those original movies. Her character of Sidney Prescott has moved on in her life including her writing a book and being on a book tour. Deputy Dewey is now Sheriff Dewey. He is also married to Gayle Weathers now. The town of Woodsboro is now 15 years removed since the murders in the town. The town has become famous for what occurred with some treating it more as a joke than as a tragedy of what occurred. That ties us to the new cast members. Woodsboro High School's new students who know of what occurred and are soon brought into the tragedy of it very quickly. I really enjoyed the casting in this movie. Emma Roberts is cast as Sidney's cousin and does a really good job in the role of Jill. Hayden Panetierre was another great addition to the cast. One thing that is mentioned in the behind the scenes documentary of the DVD is that the cast really is a good representation of this current group of young Hollywood just like the original Scream movie was 15 years ago. There were countless people that I saw from a bunch of different shows that I've watched in the last couple of years. Pretty much familiar with everyone or at least knew their face if I didn't know their name. The movie takes the elements of what worked in the original and brought it into this new world of technology. I liked the movie for the most part. There was one scene that I could have done without obviously (LOL). I was also very satisfied with how it ended and tied together. I thought it did well in staying true to the original with bringing it into this new generation. If you were a fan of the original Scream movies, give this one a look. Fitting enough that I laughed at myself later after I watched the movie. I had left my car running in the driveway unlocked. When I got in the car, my brain just went into instinct mode and I clicked on the interior lights checking the back seat to make sure no one was there. LOL.

Wrap Up Q&A With Big Brother 12's Matt Hoffman - September 20, 2011

With this recent season of Big Brother coming to a conclusion, I thought it would be fun to see what one of last season's players had to say about how the game played out and to catch up with what he has been up to since the show's conclusion. Matt Hoffman appeared on last season's Big Brother 12 and is someone that has also played the game with Rachel and Brendon. Matt is definitely a straight shooter on his opinions of the game so I was very interested to hear his thoughts.

Thanks so much for taking the time to answer some questions! First of all, what have you been up to since leaving the Big Brother house last year and how has it been interacting with the fans of the show?

"Life's been pretty well back to normal. Still playing music. Still wrapped up in the horror movie scene. Still working my Mon-Fri 9-5 job that I've been at for almost 12 years now. Fans are by-and-large VERY nice. I actually would prefer a little less a**-kissing, since there's no way that I just so happen to be everyone's "favorite player" who they "wanted to win" that I run into. :-) "

With this season, the big twist was all about the duos. What were your thoughts on the twist when it was first announced and thoughts on it now that it is over? Did it make the season more interesting or less interesting for you?

"When it was first announced, my thoughts were that I wished Ragan and I were picked! But now that it's over, it's a season that I wouldn't have wanted to be on anyway. I wasn't a fan of level of "twisting" going on. Plus I'm happy that Rachel won. Plus I enjoyed the summer back with my wife!"

Rachel made such a huge comeback this season with winning the game after such a bad Big Brother 12 season. Her social game definitely seemed to be her downfall last season and almost started to look the same this season. She had a huge turnaround in the second half of the season. What are your thoughts on Rachel getting the win and what do you think was the turnaround for her?

"I'm super happy for Rachel, and it was well-deserved. I said early on that the only way for her to win this game is to get rid of Brendon. They are toxic together when they are in that house playing. Sure enough, as soon as he left (both times) her game kicked into high-gear and she wasn't so emotional."

To kind of go with that last question, how do you compare the Rachel of this season versus the Rachel of last season which you saw first hand in the house?

"This Rachel was more emotionally in-check. It took a few weeks (well...it took Brendon leaving), but she pulled herself together much better than she did in her last season."

What were your thoughts on Daniele's move to flip and go against the veterans and the timing of it?

"It was a great move in theory, but it was just poorly timed. She should've held out just a bit longer...probably until after the stupid "golden key" thing was over."

Shelly's game play was an obvious hot topic all season. I said that I thought her game play of playing both sides was going to be fine unless the two sides started talking and comparing her lies. How did you feel of how her game played out?

"I hated her game most of the season, but not because of the gameplay itself and more because of her attitude towards her gameplay. I didn't respect that she was so duplicitous in her own gameplay while at the same time being so sanctimonious in regards to everyone else's deception. I liked her a lot more towards the end when she started to own up to her lies in the Diary Room. It made it more fun, and I think that if she made it to the end and owned up to it all she would have won, but if she pulled the "good guy" card, it would've blown up in her face. Truthfully, I'm surprised how long she was able to play both sides before getting busted...this cast let her get away with so much. It seemed like no one was talking to anyone else in the house! But to her credit (and I can't say this for almost anyone else in the cast), at least she played!"

The big week of the season seemed to center around the double eviction week. Daniele on the block and evicted. Shelly's turn on Jeff and Jordan. Jeff voted out. Porsche wins HOH. Rachel and Jordan against the rest of the house. What were your overall thoughts on that week?

"I think the producers were probably more upset about that week than anyone, because they lost two of their most significant players. I don't think they ever expected it to play out that way, particularly because that "clown shoe" competition was totally in favor of Jeff to win. But it goes to prove that just because you have a clear advantage in a competition doesn't mean that you'll win in. There's the "heart" and the "luck" factors in any game."

Of the newbies this season, who was your favorite and why?

"This is a nearly impossible question to answer due to this being one of Big Brother's more lackluster casts, but I suppose I'd go with Shelly because she made an effort to actually play. Also, I respect that she voted strategically and not emotionally in the end. I liked Dominic too, and think that he got screwed a bit. I wouldn't mind seeing him take a second stab at the game."

Staying with that topic, who was your favorite veteran and why?

"Team Rachel, baby! She deserved it more than anyone, hands-down. I'm really surprised the end vote was so close."

There were some crazy game play moments this season. Did you have any certain moment that stuck out this season with you watching and thinking what in the world is going on here?

"Two words....Rachel. Bush."

What was the best game move this season?

"Shelly turning on Jeff and Jordan. They would've swept through the game if they were left in there any longer."

I always like to ask this of the people that have been in the house to give us fans a feeling of the pressure cooker that is that house and that game. Just what is it like to be in that house and playing the game with those cameras following you around 24/7?

"For me it was a dream come true. Players can b**** all they want about how horrible and stressful it is, but I'll take a rent-free all-expenses-paid summer vacation with the potential to win a half-million dollars over a 40-hour workweek in the humid midwest any day."

Having played the game, what kind of strategy does someone need to have to win Big Brother?

"Be adaptable. You cannot win the game without changing up your strategy (usually multiple times) throughout the game."

I know you've got a lot of fans out there. What is the best way that they can keep up with you and whatever happenings that you have going on?

The Five Step Program In Big Brother Withdrawal - September 16, 2011

So, you've been glued to TV and the live feeds for over two months and now suddenly the show is over. What do you do? Welcome to Big Brother withdrawal. LOL! You're used to having the feeds and hearing the people and the happenings of the house and then suddenly it's over. Having been a ten year veteran of Big Brother withdrawal, I thought it would be a funny article to type up. Here is a five step process to help with your Big Brother withdrawal.

Step One: Post show interviews and happenings. There is plenty of stuff to read, listen to, and watch of the houseguests. We all want to learn what happens once they get back into the real world, what they have heard about the show, and their reactions to things. Super Pass has really stepped up and given a lot of good post show stuff this year including the back yard live interviews after the finale. Then, there was the Big Brother wrap party last night which had Kevin of BB11 and James of BB6 & BB7 doing interviews. They'll have more things planned. Many entertainment sites will be conducting interviews so there will be plenty of options for the next week.

Step Two: Flashbacks. If you're a live feeder, you probably know what flashbacks are. One of the best tools for the live feeds is the flashback feature. If something happened over night and you were sleeping like most people, you can go back and punch in a time and date and you're watching it as it happened. Maybe there are some things in the season that you missed that you'd like to check out. There are a lot of funny moments including the super hero thing, the funny date with Porsche and Adam playing characters on a date, the drama in the house, or whatever else that you're interested in. Google Big Brother 13 flashbacks and see what dates and times that fans have been so nice to post for people to view if they missed something. It can be a lot of fun.

Step Three: You Tube. Fans are very creative with their video editing skills. There is a lot of great video tribute stuff out there. Find some on your favorite houseguests. Lots of video editing talent out there and these are fun to watch especially if they are really well done and to the right song.

Step Four: The Fall Season. It's the fall season and new TV shows are debuting along with other shows returning. Get back into watching some other shows. For me, it was a perfect night on Wednesday night as Survivor premiered the same night as Big Brother ended. Now, I actually didn't get to watch Survivor until the night after due to there being so much Big Brother stuff to watch. Look around and see if there are some good shows coming up that you may want to check out. If you aren't interested in anything on TV, go to the DVD's and see if there is a show that you want to check out or maybe a show you might even like to watch again.

Step Five: More Check-ins. As time goes along, there are going to be more interviews with the houseguests available. Super Pass always does a great job in getting some new content up for fans to check out including Big Brother interviews. They already have several guests lined up for live interviews in the weeks to come. So, you'll be able to catch up with your favorites. Last year, they had several of the cast with their own shows interacting with fans.

Big Brother 13 - Rachel Wins - Thoughts and Reflections On The Season - September 15, 2011

Big Brother 13 has finished up and let the Big Brother withdrawal begin. I just thought I'd do a recap of my thoughts on the finale and the overall season. I really enjoyed this season. I was a live feed viewer from the first night. This season's story was all about the mix of the newbies and the veterans. Who would team up with who? Which side could win and take down the others? Well, the answer was that the newbies really couldn't get together to make a stand against the veterans until it was too late. An early season turn with Daniele teaming up with the newbies got this season rocking and rolling. One thing that I always notice with all star type shows is that I will find myself cheering people that I didn't cheer on their previous season or booing people that I previously liked. Case and point, Daniele. I wasn't much of a fan of her game play in season eight but found myself cheering for her almost right out of the gate this season. Whether you like her or don't like her, this girl plays the game and she takes chances. Some paid off this season and others did not. Another point, Rachel. I was not a big fan of Rachel last season and her social game was awful. Her competitive game is awesome but you can't yell and rub it in people's faces when you win and expect people to like you. She started to be that way this season but Brendon's elimination and then teaming up with Jordan helped turn her social game around. I will say that this was one season where I really didn't have anyone in the house that I just really disliked. Yes, I had some that drove me crazy at times, Shelly. LOL!! I found this to be a very likable cast and I enjoyed my live feed summer with them.

Last night's finale had a final three of Rachel, Porsche, and Adam. The first part of the HOH competition went to Rachel. Second part went to Porsche. Who would take who to the final? Well, Adam was working on the feeds this week to try and secure his spot. It was awwwwkward. Thanks Daniele for now adding this line to my every day vocabulary now. LOL. You know you've watched a lot of Big Brother when you start using their every day lines. I'm still waiting for the opportunity to use "throw me under the bus" in my every day life. Anyway, Adam's plan was to basically threaten Porsche with a jury vote if she didn't take him to the final two. She didn't back down from things he said and counter pointed him on everything that I could tell anyway. Later, she had a conversation with Rachel telling him what all Adam had said. This plan of Adam's did not help his cause at all. Rachel won the third part of the HOH competition giving her the decision on who to take with her to the final two. What I thought was hilarious was Adam's speech on why he should be taken to the final two. His speech which was supposed to critique the other's games was one that critiqued his own. I thought his speech explained his game perfectly. LOL. Rachel takes Porsche to the final two. Adam was saying that he could have beaten either one of them. I was actually begging Julie Chen to pull a Jeff Probst in the reunion portion and ask the jury how they would have voted if the final two were different. Rachel won with the only opposing votes being from Daniele, Kalia, and Adam. I thought this was a very well deserved win. She fought hard and won competitions. She overcame a lot of odds against her.

With the overall season, I thought I'd just talk about every houseguest and discuss them.

Rachel: Like I said, I was not a Rachel fan last year. Her antics last year just always blew up in her face. When she returned this year with Brendon, they were playing the same game. I actually said at one point that Rachel was the Russell Hantz of Big Brother. Russell came back and played the same game of Survivor that he had played his previous season. The same game that he lost. Horrible social game and he didn't adjust what was his weak point. Rachel was on her way to doing the same thing. She was still strong in competitions but her social game was still horrible. The day that Brendon was being voted out the first time, she had a complete break down. She talked of how she had come back to right her wrongs from last year but she was well on her way to the same outcome. When Brendon left, that switch went off in her. When she and Jordan were forced to only have each other, she changed. Jordan and Rachel really were a good team because they were able to balance each other. Jordan was a stronger social player but not a strong competition player. Rachel was the opposite. Jordan was able to reel in Rachel when she needed to be reeled in. Rachel won competitions when she needed to win and worked deals when she needed to. The only thing that I thought was bad is that she kept ripping people in her goodbye messages. The one part of her social game that was coming back to haunt her. She did overcome and it and made a huge comeback with this season. Congratulations Rachel. You earned that win and I give you all the credit that you deserve.

Porsche: Porsche was someone that I was always just kind of in the middle ground with on a game level. I couldn't really figure her out at times. She did step up and win some competitions in the last few weeks to further her along in the game. The trio of Dani, Porsche, and Kalia did get further because of Porsche's wins. Her veto win sealed Jeff's fate. I don't know what we would have seen out of her early on if she hadn't had that golden key. She couldn't compete for weeks. Would she have been strong or throw competitions like several newbies did? I did laugh at her first game speech with Jeff. What was shown on TV was pretty much how it looked on the feeds, please keep me in the game because I can win competitions and I want to win something. It was short and sweet and awkward. LOL. I don't think Porsche gets as much credit as she probably earned but also didn't think she had a chance against Rachel in the end.

Adam: Oh, Adam. This guy. Such a nice guy but his game was so all over the place. I had a few moments in the season where I just wanted to throw a shoe at someone. One of those was after the Jeff eviction. Adam sat with the newbies and hung out with them. Jordan and Rachel were exiled knowing that they were in trouble and possibly done. So, the twist happens. The feeds come back on and Rachel has won veto. Just minutes after, here comes Adam sitting down and wanting to just talk and hang out. I wanted to throw something at him through the computer. LOL. Now, that they're in power, you're suddenly back. His game was floating and he did it throughout. There was one night in the back yard that was not shown on the show. It started with the innocence of coloring easter eggs. The vets were going to use some of the eggs of some of the other side of the house. Adam stood up saying that they should leave it alone and wanting peace in the house. Jeff along with Jordan used it as an opportunity to pin him down and make sure he was picking a side. His answers were non committal and it led to one of my favorite lines of the season from Jeff, "happy meal time is over, it's time to grow up and buy a burger". Something like that but it was hilarious. I'm not sure that Adam really had much of a strategy going down to even the last few days in the house. Like I said, nice guy and the Tori Spelling moment was funny but his game just was not good.

Jordan: Love this girl. What a sweetheart. It has been a pleasure to watch this girl on the feeds this year. She just has a kind soul in her. Did she have her bad moments? Of course. Who wouldn't in that crazy house? When Jeff was evicted, Jordan's next week was very telling. She had the screaming match with Shelly. This poor girl cried all night and most of the tears were the fact that she said that she looked at Shelly as a mom in the house and then got turned on. Rachel was another strong point here as Rachel really helped keep her going. She stayed by her side the whole time. Jordan picked herself up and the next night was one of my favorite Jordan moments of the season. I watched it on the feeds and was thinking this is awesome. Her and Rachel marched right up to the HOH room and Jordan laid out a plan for Porsche and Kalia to work a deal. She was strong and bold in what she was saying. She laid it out in ten minutes or less and then basically said "Rachel, let's go" not even letting Rachel have any chance of messing it up. I loved Rachel's line when they left the room of "Jordan, I've never heard you talk like that before". It really was a big moment and I applauded when Jordan left that room. Jordan did eventually get voted out but she again was a huge part in Rachel winning the game. Jordan is so completely likable and you saw such a more mature side of her this season. She talked one night of how much she has grown up since her last time on the show and it really showed. Enjoyed her a lot on the live feeds. Who doesn't laugh at the human trumpet? Hilarious stuff that never got shown on TV.

Kalia: This is someone whose game was so all over the place at times too. Her bed got made for alliances in the house on the day of the big house meeting where the plan to backdoor Jeff got outed. That meeting went for an hour by the way and was live feed gold. I was glued to it. Daniele got outed and Kalia did too cause she knew about it and was guilty by association. With Daniele and Kalia now being the outcasts of sorts, they aligned together. Kalia had some big moments and some really not good moments. Her first HOH week was one of the worst HOH weeks that I've seen. That week was pivotal. Rachel was out of the door. The votes were there and it was a done deal. Then, the talk turned to a returning houseguest and how they didn't want to vote out Rachel only for her to come back. So, Lawon gets voted out. Lawon!! Kalia complained all season about how she wanted Rachel out and couldn't wait to do it. If Rachel had been voted out, Brendon and her would have competed to return. Then, only one would have been in the house instead of two. That week could have changed the game completely. Instead, Lawon was voted out who was no harm to anyone. LOL. Kalia was the HOH week that got Jeff voted out though and that was a big deal there. Kalia was another person where I couldn't really figure out her game at times.

Shelly: Shelly's game was an interesting one. What I said all along about her is that she is good at playing this middle game and pitting the sides of the house against each other. However, I said if they start talking about Shelly, she's done and that is what happened. It reminded me of All Stars when Chilltown was playing the girls at the end. The girls did not talk to one another but once they finally did, they realized that they had been played. Shelly was the one playing that middle game here and her game went poof when her lies got exposed. She made a big game move getting rid of Jeff but I didn't really see what it did for her as far as getting her further in the game. She turned on Jeff and then had the moment that just made me annoyed. She goes and confronts Jordan and yells in her face about basically turning on them. I was thinking you did the turn, so why are you yelling and pointing in her face about it? That is what set Jordan off was when Shelly got in her face and yelled about it. Shelly's dislike of Rachel really got going because Rachel was the first one that figured out Shelly's lies and called her on it. From there on out, Shelly was very anti-Rachel. Shelly was a lightning rod topic among fans. I think what got people so fired up on Shelly was that she would say things such as I can't believe people in here are acting like three year olds while she had just went and hid Rachel's stuffed dog. Another Shelly thing for me was why did she lie in the diary room? That was the most bizarre to me and a question that I'd like to hear an answer to. I just didn't understand the point of lying in the DR. We saw it. Just own it and say yeah, I did it. Shelly played a good game up until she got exposed. A Pandora's Box later and her game was finished. She took some risks for sure.

Jeff: Not much really to add about Jeff's game. He had his good moments and bad moments. Poor guy is probably going to remembering clown shoes for a while as his demise at the veto competition. It did give a good laugh from the fortune teller with that clown shoe line. Jeff just played a middle ground kind of game and his temper did get the best of him at times. He fully admitted that last night during his post show interview. I like Jeff and congrats to him on the America's Choice vote.

Daniele: I've spoken a lot about Daniele. I like her. She plays the game and plays it hard. She was annoyed a lot of times wanting to make moves but the newbies were scared to take a stand with her. She formed an alliance and just went with what she was given after the house meeting exposed her. She knew she was gone that next week if she didn't win HOH and she won that endurance competition easily. I watched that whole competition and there was no doubt in my mind that Dani was winning. She was solid and determined. That girl wanted to win. She got Brendon out and then got him out again. For all of Brendon's talk about ripping Daniele, I did think it was funny that she was responsible for getting him out TWICE. LOL. Daniele did have some mishaps in this game but she played to win. She wasn't going to just waltz through this game. She made big moves and took risks. One of my favorite houseguests of the season.

Brendon: I ended up liking him more this season than last but mostly after his return to the house. You can only watch him and Rachel fight and make up so many times on the feeds before you turn the feeds to just find anybody else doing something. Even someone just sitting and eating a bowl of cereal. LOL. He fought hard for the veterans alliance. I do have to say that he is a funny guy. I laughed a lot at the super hero play that they did in the back yard with him and Dominic. It was a LOT funnier on the live feeds than the edited version for TV.

Lawon: Poor Lawon. LOL. What were you thinking? I'm sure he has gotten this question so many times. He volunteered to go on the block on the week that they were sure a houseguest was returning. He volunteers to go against Rachel on the block AND volunteers to be evicted. You should have seen the message boards when this was going on with people just saying "WHAT IS HE DOING???" LOL. He was determined that he was going to get to come back with super powers. Poor guy. Lawon was a lot of fun on the feeds. Such a nice guy.

Dominic: Dominic was the victim of Dani's plan getting outed. He formed that alliance with her and unfortunately ended up being the fall person. Daniele felt awful about it too. Dominic was a fun guy on the feeds. I wondered about his game play at times though too especially early on. One of my favorite message board lines of the season was the first week where he was outside talking to Jeff and Brendon spilling WAY too much information to that veteran alliance. The person on the board posted that they were watching Dominic commit game suicide in the back yard. LOL. It was true too. He spilled way too much information. The interaction with him and Jeff was fun and they had a good time with one another.

Cassi: This is actually who I was hoping to see return with the fan vote at mid season. I was hoping to see her get back in the game and mix it up some. She was probably the first victim of Shelly's lies and got her evicted early on. She got a target on her after the blow up with Rachel. Cassi came across extremely likable and it was a bummer to see her voted out so early on.

Keith: I think I just shook my head for most of the first week of Keith in the Big Brother house. Throwing the competitions ended up being too much of a trend among the newbies especially early on. The biggest thing is throwing them WHEN YOU ARE ON THE BLOCK. LOL. I don't care what people promise you. Don't throw competitions when you are on the block. Same thing to Dominic. The funniest thing was that Keith and Porsche were both throwing this veto competition in hopes of getting the other one evicted. Well, it worked for Porsche but not for Keith. First eviction of the season.

The live feeds were a lot of addiction for me this season. Just really enjoyed them. Lots of things that were never shown. One thing about having the feeds is that you'd almost feel like you were watching a different show as to what was edited for TV. I'd see something play out on the feeds and it would look completely different when it aired on TV. Things would not be shown that led to something else. It is hard to edit a show down though time wise. You really need the feeds to see the entire show. I was thankfully armed with live feeds and also Big Brother After Dark on Showtime this year. The feeds are such an addiction. Case and point was the silliness of the night that Rachel started getting revenge hiding other people's stuff. Rachel's stuffed dog had been hidden and then she started hiding stuff of other's. I laughed saying I can't believe I am this glued to watching people hiding stuffed animals from one another and waiting for people to get caught. I can't take my eyes off of this. Funny moments. Serious moments. Silly moments. All in between moments. That was the feeds this year. I enjoyed hanging out over at Jokers and reading the posts throughout the season and keeping me up to date on anything that I missed. Can't even count the amount of times that I laid on the couch clicking refresh on the boards to get the latest discussion. Jokers adds so much to the Big Brother experience every year. Just a fun summer overall. Thank you Big Brother for yet another fun season.

Pepsi 75th Anniversary Concert - Marion IL - Kellie Pickler, Gloriana, Francesca Battistelli, & Little Big Town - August 6, 2011

If you were able to attend the Pepsi 75th Anniversary concert at Rent One Park in Marion, IL this weekend, what a show that you got. I was very thankful to be able to attend. The concert was a thank you to all of the Pepsi employees for their hard work. It was a full afternoon and evening of events. The weather stayed nice so Praise the Lord for that! We have been hit with a heat wave over the last several weeks so for it to ease just in time for this concert made all of us happy. Eight Harley Davidson motorcycles were given away to people from all over the area. Along with the giveaways, there were a lot of performers to help with the occasion. That included a musical lineup of Kellie Pickler, Gloriana, Francesca Battistelli, and Little Big Town.

The show opened up with Francesca Battistelli who I really enjoyed. I'm very familiar with her from listening to K-Love. "This Is The Stuff" has been a big song for her this year along with "It's Your Life" which was featured in the hit movie, Soul Surfer. Good timing with that as I just watched Soul Surfer last week. If you haven't seen it, you need to as it is an incredible and powerful story and testimony of Christian faith. Just an amazing story! Hearing that song play at the festival was fun. One of my favorite Francesca songs is "Beautiful, Beautiful" which I was happy to hear live. By the end of her set, it was clear to me that I need to pick up her new album. LOL. Really enjoyed her.

Next performer was Gloriana. No secret that Gloriana is my favorite band. Thrilled to see them on this lineup. I was curious to hear how the band was going to be with Cheyenne and the band is going to be just fine for sure! A really fun set of music from them including stuff from the first album and getting to hear some stuff from the new album. Getting a preview of it was a lot of fun. I have to say how great that their cover of "Rocky Mountain Way" was and that I wasn't a big fan of the song....until I heard Gloriana do it. LOL. Good stuff. They closed up the set with "Wild At Heart" and then right into their new single "Wanna Take You Home". After their performance, Tom, Mike, and Rachel headed up to the merchandise table to sign autographs for the fans for a meet and greet. I did get to take part in that and it was a pleasure to meet with them again.

Little Big Town was the third act to take the stage. This was getting closer into the evening portion of the day. They had the crowd rocking playing their hit list of songs. One thing that I really paid attention to with them is that they have such a wide variety of what they can play. Case and point. They played a bluegrass version of Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" and it was incredible. Little Big Town has definitely been one of the biggest up and coming acts for the last couple of years. Enjoyed them as well.

The night closed with Kellie Pickler as the night sky was overhead. Kellie was great. She had a lot of fun up there going through her list of hit songs. It wasn't just her hit songs though as she asked at one point if it was ok for her to try some of her new songs on us from her upcoming album. From what she sang at this show, the new album is going to be really good. Kellie was belting songs all throughout the night and sounded great. "Best Days Of Your Life" is a favorite of mine so I was happy when she sang it near the end of the night. She did come back for an encore of "Red High Heels" to close out the night of performers. Big thumbs up for Kellie. The crowd loved her.

Other notes from the festival. The show closed with an amazing fireworks and laser show. If you left early and missed it, you missed a treat. Best fireworks show that I've ever seen. Like I said, the weather was highly tolerable considering the heat wave we've had. A nice breeze and it was very nice when the evening set in. A first for me was seeing the inflatable Pepsi can air balloon take off from the field and get an ovation from the crowd. It was pretty impressive. LOL. There were a lot of different things to do around the park area for people of all ages. During performances, there was a listing of things to look out for with each performer. Blowing bubbles for Francesca, beach balls flying through the crowd for Gloriana, an announcement up on the screen for Little Big Town, and green glow sticks to show up in the crowd during the night time for Kellie. It added a definite fun element to it. Interesting note posted by Gloriana on their Twitter before the show was how 2/3 of the Fearless Tour was there. Very true with Gloriana and Kellie Pickler in the house and all that was missing was Taylor Swift.

Great show and easily one of the best concerts that I've ever seen. Really enjoyed it. Thank you to everyone involved with it!

Big Brother 13 Premiere Thoughts - July 7, 2011

We are off and rolling for season thirteen of Big Brother. Tonight was the season premiere and it was an enjoyable episode as we got to know the new houseguests and also get caught up with the returning houseguests. Rumors have been flying all week on who was returning. The rumors did indeed hold up on who was returning to the game. The duos include Jeff & Jordan, Dick & Daniele, and Rachel & Brendon. First, the new houseguests made their debut into the house. Not long after entering and introducing themselves, Julie Chen dropped the first twist of the season. Everyone has to pair up and work as a team. My first thought was this was not good for Big Brother 9. Actually, there wasn't much of anything good about Big Brother 9 so maybe I need to back off on that initial worry on this tag team deal. The new eight houseguests were immediately concerned about there being more places set at the table. They all knew that it wasn't just going to be eight of them. The entrances of the returning houseguests was interesting to see who liked who. Not really anything new since this bunch left the house except for two engagements and the fact that Dick and Daniele are still not talking. They said that they had not talked since BB8. I have not really kept up with them out of the house outside of the occasional blog but I wonder if they're as bitter enemies as they say. I seem to remember them still not getting along outside of the house and that both of them had commented on it. Maybe I'm wrong and I apologize if I am. With the new houseguests, there are some big personalities. Definitely a lot of laughs from several of them in the first episode. With them all being paired up out of nowhere, it just went fast and uncomfortably for the most part. What do you do? Say no to someone that wants to team up? Teaming up are Keith and Porsche, Adam and Dominic, Lawon and Kalia, and Shelly and Cassi. The Adam and Dominic one is not one that Dominic is a fan of but he didn't want to say no to Adam....mostly because he was scared of him. Keith was looking to pair up with a girl and did. Shelly and Cassi were ready to pair up. Lawon and Kalia were the last ones left having to pair up. After that was when the returning duos entered the house. The first HOH took place with the duos competing against one another. The hope among the new houseguests were that one of them would win so they could work on getting the returning duos out of the house. Things didn't go that way though. It ended up being Porsche battling against the Donatos and against Rachel. Porsche finally had to drop. The Donatos worked a deal with Rachel. She said they were good and the Donatos dropped out. Rachel wins HOH. Now, comes the next twist. The HOH will nominate a duo for eviction. The one person out of the duo that survives the eviction will be rewarded with the Big Brother golden key. That guarantees them a spot in the top ten. They can not be nominated again until the top ten. That means they also cannot compete in competitions as well since they are already safe. Basically, you could have a duo get nominated and then if you can campaign to stay, you are going to be doing some great living in the house for a few weeks. Dick and Daniele were already teasing that they would turn on each other if they got nominated. That is a good twist. It also gives the duo something to fight for. That was how the show ended. We'll get nominations on the next episode. Waiting for the live feeds to turn on which will take place after the west coast has aired. Another Big Brother summer is underway and I'm looking forward to seeing this game get rolling.

Big Brother 13 Cast Has Been Announced (Well, part of them) - June 30, 2011

Big Brother fans! It's almost July and you know what that means, it's time for the summer TV obsession to begin. Not just TV obviously cause of the live feeds and that is a whole different level of obsession there. Speaking from experience as a long time feed watcher. LOL. There is a lot of rumors abuzz on what is to come this season. The theme for this year's show is "double trouble". Today, eight cast members were announced which are brand new people. However, the talk turned quickly to the tease of that "three of the most dynamic duos would be back to play the game". Very interesting. CBS put up some teases of duos over the years with some being met with cheers and others ready to go on a rant. Who knows if any of the duos posted will be reality for cast members or if they are just teasing us? CBS put these duos up as a poll asking who we'd like to see return to the house. Will and Boogie, Rachel and Brendon, Jessie and Natalie, Hayden and Enzo, Dick and Daniele, and Jeff and Jordan. Some interesting names and all of them are going to get a reaction. Some more than others obviously. Just thought I'd give my thoughts on each one of them for fun.

Will and Boogie - One could only hope. I would absolutely love to have Chilltown back in the Big Brother house.

Rachel and Brendon - Of all the choices, this is the one that I really think the producers will go with. The producers loved Rachel last year and if there is any sure bet of who could go back in, this would be my guess.

Jessie and Natalie - Those producers love Jessie. They bring him back every year and it always gets a reaction from BB fans. It got a reaction from Britney last year. Ok, not a good one but a reaction.

Hayden and Enzo - This is a borderline one for me. I could see this one either way. Producers seemed to like Enzo and he was funny TV last year. Hayden was a previous winner so could they do doing back to back summers in the BB house?

Dick and Daniele - Ok, this is one that I just don't know about. Daniele recently has started hosting a show on the BB live feeds with Ragan. Of all the duos, this is the one that puts up a flag to me on probably not happening unless the plan is to throw us all for a loop. Talk about a reaction of those two ended up in the house from fans.

Jeff and Jordan - Not sure about this one either. They were very loved on their season and I liked them too. Would they want to do another season or not?

If we're getting three duos this summer, this list has potential to make the Big Brother house an interesting one. This will likely force the new houseguests to start aligning early to even up the house. Could be yet another number split right down the house. Speaking of the new houseguests, let's go with what we do know. The new cast members are.

We're one week away from Big Brother 13 and there is no shortage of rumors and talking going on with Big Brother fans. Who is still tweeting? Who has disappeared? Who is returning?

2011 Superman Celebration - Celebrity Q&A Session Recap - Brandon Routh, Sam Huntington, & Alaina Huffman - June 11, 2011

Metropolis, Illinois was once again filled up with Superman fans from all around the world. If you wanted proof of that, the visual was in the "where are you from" map in the middle of the street. That is always impressive to check out. There was the usual. The heat, pop up storms in the area, and great fun. One thing that I love about the Celebration is seeing a lot of the same fans every year. There are people that I don't even know personally but know their faces. It is just a great community of fans that attend every year and you can see the friendships and bonds that have been formed over the years with ties to this event. Saturday was the usual big day with the big crowd. Celebrities in attendance. A big Superman Returns feel to the Celebration this year with Brandon Routh (Superman) and Sam Huntington (Jimmy Olsen) being there. We also had a tie to Smallville with Alaina Huffman (Black Canary) in attendance. Over in Artist Alley was Mark Pillow (Nuclear Man from Superman IV) and Tracey Roberts Lewis (Darla from Superboy). I attended several of the events over the weekend.

Saturday had the big packed tent of fans waiting for the Celebrity Q&A session which included Routh, Huntington, and Huffman. The Q&A session had to be cut down a bit due to the autograph sessions running long. What we got though was a lot of fun. They were having a lot of fun up on the stage including Sam getting a shot of the crowd on his phone with a big smile on his face. Routh also got a shot with his phone too. It must be a wild visual from up there to see that many fans crammed in that tent. It's quite a visual being in it. So, I'll get to the highlights of the Q&A. Sam was having a tough time getting into town and was running a little late. Happy that he got to join in on the Q&A. This is not a full recap but portions of it.

Each were asked about their getting the roles. Alaina was asked specifically, did you have any prior knowledge of the character of Black Canary before you got the role?

Alaina: "No, in fact when I auditioned, it was like any other audition. You just sort of go in with a little bit of knowledge. They called me and said that I had the job but wouldn't tell me what the character was because it was top secret. They finally told me and I didn't know who Black Canary was. I googled her and was like 'I have to wear that'. They custom made the costume. It was awesome. I love her. It's a great character."

For Sam: Did you look back at the others that played the role of Jimmy?
"Yes, I was very familiar with Marc McClure's portrayal. We met Jack Larson and just a sweet, sweet man. I just tried to take as much of myself into the role. I felt like I was made to play it. I lucked out and got the job which rarely happens."

For Brandon:
(on getting the role) "Took six or seven months. First initial inkling of the movie, I had just auditioned for another TV show. Producer saw me and thought I had a good look for Superman which he was doing. Finally, I got the role. I screen tested once for McG along with five other guys. When news came along that he was no longer on the project, it seemed like it was falling away and for it to be that close was heartbreaking. A month later it was resurrected by Bryan Singer thankfully and here we are. A lot of people were rooting for me and my family and such and you don't want to disappoint anybody with that buildup. I was in the producer's office waiting on that call to finalize it. I called my mom and told her and she screamed."

What was it like putting the suit on for the first time?
Brandon: "I wore another version of the suit before the Superman Returns suit. I wore the McG suit. So, that was really my first time in the Superman suit. That was bizarre because it was a very plasticly prototype and they really rushed it. I just put it on and they left me. I'm just left standing in a room thinking 'ok' what do we do now? So, I sat down and picked up a magazine. Sitting there with my legs crossed reading thinking this is the strangest thing in the world. So, it was a little shocking."

Differences in the suit?
Brandon: "They were dramatic. That suit was just really a prototype. Material didn't really move and was crunchy and weird. What I ended up in was spandex and much more breathable. The flying was really challenging cause I had a harness on. The harness and everything else made the suit kind of a whole rubber band. Flying horizontal and having to raise your arm and having all the full weight of the suit stretched against you was a bit of a challenge but all part of the job."

Challenge of Alaina's costume:
Alaina: "The challenge of my costume is that my heels always get stuck in my fish nets when I fight. It's very odd cause you're in the middle of a spin kick and say, umm, we've got to cut. My heel's caught. They didn't do the bustier. They did a tank top so it was a lot more comfortable for me. We shoot in Canada and it's very cold in the winter in fish nets."

Stunt work for Alaina:
Alaina: "With Smallville, they do tons of stunts, tons of wire work, tons of effects and it's built into the schedule every week. The stunt team is very great about trying to get you to do stuff. They'll walk up to you in the middle of rehearsal and say 'hey do you want to learn how to throw knives' and you're like 'yeah!' . We're going to do some flips and wire work. You'll just go into the corner and get hooked up to some harnesses and wires and be thrown around by about five guys. It's a lot of fun. It's a little challenging. I do have a stunt double. So, all the fancy stuff is usually not me. I usually initiate a lot of it and then they go in with my stunt double and make it all look really pretty."

Not leaving Sam out of the conversation. Costume trouble for the tie for Sam?
Sam: "They tied it for me or it would have looked like spaghetti on my face and it would have looked terrible. It was so interesting though cause they were so anal about it. Bryan was very specific about it wanting it to be an actual bow tie. It's actually the one thing that I kept from the movie.....I stole it......stay in school. Not much restriction. It was very breathable. My fighting was minimal. (laughs)."

What was your most challenging role and why?
Alaina: "Challenging as far as character. Black Canary cause of all the physical aspects. In Smallville, she was never really introduced and there was no mythology and it was sort of hinted at that she was part of the Justice League and that she and Ollie had this relationship. It never really filtered through. So, we had to play on that but not. And then Stargate. Just because it was my longest run on a TV show. The challenge in that was getting the Atlantis fans to like us. (laughs). It's still challenging."
Brandon: "Superman. Absolutely hands down. Not only did I have to learn to fake fly and all the process of that but to look like I was actually flying. And to uphold an amazing legacy."
Sam: "I'm on a TV show right now called Being Human. It's really hard. It's awesome because at the end of the day I love the show. I think that all the hard work is warranted. Grueling makeup. Really long hours. The role itself is very dynamic and different, awkward, and at the same time extremely fun. I'm being challenged right now in that role and having a blast doing it."

Brandon talks about a tough scene where he was getting beaten down in Superman Returns.
Brandon: "What hurt about that scene was that we did that and I'm sloshing around in the water. That water was so cold. It was a traumatic scene cause I'm getting my butt whooped and we had to do it about eight times. Being submerged in water and choking and acting like I'm getting killed. So, that was a tough scene. That was one of the hardest scenes."

Was there a learning curve on the wire?
Brandon: "Yeah, I had a great movement coach. Terry Notary. He worked with Cirque Du Soleil and did the previous Planet of the Apes and other movies that involved specific movement. We worked a long time on creating the choreography for different moves and giving them names and using my swimming background cause I really felt it added a fluent motion to the flight. Once we did that, I could feel when I was in the right position and my body was straight."

Brandon talks about likeness of wax in Madame Tussauds.
Brandon: "That was a strange process. I went to this hotel and you stand on this circular thing and they take these minute measurements. It was about six months after the movie and after I had got done with the movie, I didn't really want to work out. I was kind of embarrassed that they're measuring me and I'm thinking this is not really as good as the movie but that was all right. It was cool."

Sam talks about seeing Brandon in the Superman suit for the first time.
Sam: "It was terrible. It was like seeing Santa Clause. Except cooler and thinner. (joking). We had adjoining dressing rooms. His actual room that he got in the suit in was a separate room that he had. It was like right next to my room. I was totally geeking out about wanting to see him in the suit. One day I was sitting in there and he just walks in and I literally teared up and choked up. I just couldn't breathe. It was pretty amazing in all seriousness. Also when he put the suit on, it was like he became Superman. He's Brandon but when he put the suit on, he became almost regal, spiritual, it's bizarre. You were God like. (looking at Brandon)."
Alaina: "I can relate. The first episode that I did in season seven and there was this big fight in the Luthor mansion. It was Lex, Green Arrow, and Me and Clark. I was thinking this is awesome. It was a like a comic book and I'm not a traditional comic book fan."

What are your next projects?
Alaina: "I just got an offer to do Alpha, the new SyFy show. I've actually passed on almost everything that has passed my way this year and I've been beginning to regret it and thinking what did I do? I'm looking for the next right show or project, not just the next one. Yeah, they just called me yesterday when I was on my layover in Chicago. It looks like I'll be going on Monday to shoot an episode of that."
Sam: "With any show, they lock you in for seven years if you're lucky to get seven years of a show. We're just about to start shooting again in July. I have a month to get skinny. You can all see me naked again. Most of you are not wanting to see that. (laughs)"
Brandon: "I like to take a break. I have a new movie called Miss Nobody on Netflix right now that I filmed a long time ago. It's a dark comedy and not necessarily a family movie but it's not that bad. I am doing this film called Crooked Arrows in the Boston area and it's kind of like the Mighty Ducks except with Lacrosse. I don't play Lacrosse so I'm getting a crash course. I play the coach. I'm excited to bring it to America."

When asked about doing theater, Sam really pushed for doing it and I loved what he had to say about it:
Sam: "I think it is the most important thing that you can do as a young aspiring actor to throw yourself on stage. It is literally conquering every fear that you could possibly have and get knowledge on whether you are are good at it or not. (laughs). Cause you live or die. You learn so much. Still one of my most favorite things that I've ever done. I would love to get back into theater. Everyone should do it."

The Q&A ended with a fan really pushing Brandon Routh as the heart of Superman Returns movie. It was a great finish to the Q&A and got a big ovation from the crowd.

A really fun Q&A and they had a lot of fun up there. Tracey Roberts Lewis was signing autographs along with Mark Pillow over in Artist's Alley and Writer's Way. Big crowd over there and a lot of great things going on over there. I highly recommend checking it out and seeing the great and talented people over there. I got to meet and talk to Jeffrey Breslauer last year and it was great to see him back. A really talented guy and a pleasure to talk to.

It was a fun Superman Celebration. It looks like everyone had a great time as usual. How long till next year??

CMA Week Kicks Off With The Grand Ole Opry and The Carrie Underwood Fan Club Party - June 8, 2011

Business is back to normal for the combination of CMA Week and The Grand Ole Opry. Last year, the Opry events were moved to other locations due to the terrible flooding in Nashville. After a major effort, the Opry reopened months later. This year, CMA Week and the Opry house are one again. Tuesday, June 7 was a kickoff day for CMA Week at the Opry and I was happy to be in attendance.

This was my first visit to actually the Grand Ole Opry house. I went last year during CMA Week for the same events that I attended this year but they were moved to the Municipal Auditorium due to the flooding. I was excited to check it out and was not disappointed. I really enjoyed my day at the Opry. The inside is just amazing. Just feels so comfortable. After the morning events, I enjoyed the atmosphere outside the Opry. Just a really relaxing area to just sit outside and enjoy the weather. The day started out with the Carrie Underwood Fan Club Party which I attended. Great way to start the morning out. Carrie got right into singing and sang songs that were voted on by fan club members. She performed a good variety of songs including many that she doesn't perform live as much. She did a Q&A of questions from fans which was hosted by Storme Warren of GAC. This was a lot of fun. Carrie's great personality really shows through during these Q&A sessions. After that, a new Fan Club game debuted which was a play off of the Family Feud. Fans would compete with the winner getting a grand prize of trip of being flown to a concert along with meet and greet passes. Some other notes from the Fan Club party. There were several tour outfits out in the front of the Opry that you could check out along with pictures of Carrie wearing them. Outside was the blue truck from the Play On tour which had many fans getting their picture taken with it. Carrie's husband and Nashville Predators star, Mike Fisher, was there as well. He gave a wave to the crowd from the back of the stage. Great way to kick off the day's events.

That moves us on to the next Opry event and that was the Grand Ole Opry show for the night. This was a great show from top to bottom. I absolutely loved it. Carrie performed to close the night out for the 7:00 show. She brought the house down with her rendition of "Jesus Take The Wheel" and going into "How Great Thou Art". The notes that she hits to end it just always send chills through you. I'm a Carrie fan so I was extremely happy to get to see two shows in day from her. Along with the excitement for Carrie, I was excited to see Lady Antebellum. They are one of my favorite groups and I had not seen them live. They rocked the house with three songs including "Our Kind Of Love". Martina McBride got the house praising with her song "Anyway". She just belted it and it sounded awesome. Martina finished with her new single "Teenage Daughters". The Oak Ridge Boys got the crowd up and on their feet singing such classic hits as "Elvira" They joked of the age of the song and it is a song that I remember as a kid. The crowd absolutely ate it up. Darius Rucker was one of the first acts on the stage last night. There were segments taped last night for the Muscular Dystrophy Association Telethon which will air later this year. Darius shared the stage with Abbey Umali who battles muscular dystrophy. The two of them did a great duet and it was just a lot of fun to watch. Jerrod Niemann was a busy man as not only did he perform on the Opry stage last night but also performed an outdoor concert for the fans at 5:00. Fans got a double dose from him. Long time Opry member, Bill Anderson joked about his positioning on the lineup having to be between Lady Antebellum and Carrie Underwood. Just extremely likable and really liked listening to him. Little Jimmy Dickens was the opener for the Opry show and it just isn't the Opry without him on the lineup. Such a fun way to open the show. Songs and jokes from him. Really enjoyed him. I enjoyed everyone as you can see. There was also a surprise moment during the show as Carrie brought out American Idol finalists Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina. The fans got up on their feet for that. They will be getting their Opry experience later in the week. I had my favorites obviously going into it but I loved every second of the Opry show. On a side note, the Opry history video that airs before the show that is hosted by Carrie Underwood was amazing to watch. There is such history there and it's great to be a part of it.

What I do with my drive home? Turned on that the Opry radio station and listened to the 9:30 show. Loved every minute of listening to it just as I did with being there live for the 7:00 show. I joke about this being my annual Carrie day. It was a great day of music at the Opry and I loved it.

2011 Superman Celebration Announced For Metropolis, IL

The 2011 Superman Celebration is fast approaching from Metropolis, IL. If you don't know, Metropolis has been hit hard with massive flooding over the last month. The city is moving forward with the Celebration. Keep everyone in your prayers there as it has been a lot of sandbagging efforts going on fighting back what has been near record high flooding in the area. The lineup has been announced for the 2011 Superman Celebration and here it is. Brandon Routh who of course played Superman in the recent Superman Returns movie will be making his first appearance to Metropolis. He isn't the only one from the movie who will be in attendance as Sam Huntington who played Jimmy Olsen in the movie will be attending. Other celebrities on the lineup include Alaina Huffman (Black Canary on Smallville), Mark Pillow (Nuclear Man from Superman IV), and Tracey Roberts Lewis (Darla on Superboy). The Celebration runs from June 9-12, 2011.

Smallville Ends Its Ten Year Run With An Exciting Finale - May 13, 2011

I haven't been doing a lot with the website lately obviously but there was one thing that got me to have to type up something. That is tonight's series finale of Smallville. Ten years in the making. Clark's trials and tribulations that he had been through. All to get him to his next step. Becoming Superman. This finale had it all. It had closure, returns, action, romance, and just a lot of great, great stuff. The battle against the apocalypse which turned out to be more than the Smallville gang counted on, a whole planet. It got rolling just as the wedding between Clark and Lois was about to begin. Add into the problem that Oliver had the darkness in him and he made for one cranky member of the wedding party for Clark and Lois. I loved that Chloe was the one that realized that Clark was being set up as it goes back to the whole thing of how she has been his strongest ally. I loved the deal of how Clark was trying to balance between both of his families. That was great closure with having Jonathan back in play here with Clark able to finally see him. That allowed for him to be a part of the wedding and also the final battle as Clark was finally able to move on with allowing Jor-El to continue him on to the next level that he needs to get to. I loved their scenes in this episode. Having the scene with Jonathan, Martha, and Clark in the barn was a perfect setting. Back where we all started with seeing Clark all grown up and ready to accept his role and remembering where he came from as a young kid in that barn trying to figure out why he was different. Michael Rosenbaum, oh, how you've been missed. How awesome was he in this episode??!! It was like he had never left. Lex was given another chance after Lionel was taken out with a gunshot from Tess. Darkseid gave Lionel's heart to Lex and Lex was reborn. Tess and Lex had a nice scene that really tied their story up with him killing her but she got the big finish by using his own experimentation on him making him lose his memories of everything to that point. That wasn't the only tie up to a story as we got the scene with Clark and Lex where Lex basically said that he knew that this all was going to happen and that Clark was going to save the world. It was this really fun balance of knowing what their future was going to be but also playing off of their history to this point. Great to have Rosenbaum back for the finale! The finish had me literally cheering and applauding multiple times. The second that it got rolling was when Clark showed up and said he was there to work with Jor-El now while seeing his trials from over the years in a series of flashbacks for us. There is the cape and it is handed to him by Jonathan. Just an incredible moment and just teared you up watching it. It couldn't have been more of a fitting moment. We then see him take off in the suit and we're flying folks. That was a definite cheering moment. Lois looks out the window of Air Force One to see Clark in his super moment. Loved them looking at each other. Lois gets her big moment by interviewing the president as Clark saves the world and takes out the evil planet. All while wearing the red and blue cape. I wasn't sure we'd ever see Tom Welling in that cape but what a thrill that it was. I always thought the final scene would just have him taking off in it as the show closes. So, the fact that we got the big final battle underway with him in the Superman suit just made it all the better.

Just some other random comments to close this out. Thank you Smallville for taking the drama off of me for a change and allowing me to not have to worry on the fate of Chloe. LOL. The show kicked off with her reading the story of the finale to her son. I breathed a sigh of relief knowing that she obviously survives. We also saw the arrows which makes us know that Oliver is still around. I loved the addition of Aaron Ashmore playing the next generation of Jimmy Olsen and working under Lois at the Daily Planet. Perfect to have him in that scene. The whole Daily Planet scene at the end was well done. It just felt like these characters went to the next level. Having so many players from the ten year run in play in this finale just added so much to it. I did watch the pilot episode tonight before I watched the finale and it still holds up big time. Seeing those moments from the pilot and the big moments through the series really brought me back to reflecting back on this ten years.

It was just a great finale and the last fifteen minutes were as exciting as it could be. I loved it. It gave us closure and set up what will go on to happen in the Superman series that everyone knows. I know the depression of Smallville ending will set in tomorrow but for tonight, I'm excited. The cast and crew stepped up huge. Tom Welling and Erica Durance have been at a whole different level in the last several episodes. They have worked hard as has the rest of the cast. Big kudos to the writers and crew that have worked so hard. When this show started, everyone was so young and we've watched everyone grow and mature on this show over the last ten years. Tonight's finale showed just how far we've come. Thank you Smallville. You're going to be missed. Thanks for all the memories and thank you for giving us ten years of hard work. God bless you all!!

Jana Kramer Single Launches On One Tree Hill - February 17, 2011

Jana Kramer can act. We knew that. However, we saw something on this week's One Tree Hill that added more to acting. Jana Kramer can sing. Ok, if you're familiar with Jana Kramer, you already know that she has been singing and getting some buzz coming out of Nashville for her performances. A couple of weeks ago saw the announcement that she has signed with Warner Music Nashville. Not long after that was the announcement that she would have her song "I Won't Give Up" premiere on this week's One Tree Hill. The song premiered on her website before the episode aired and my first thought was what an addicting little song this is. I love it and looked forward to hearing it used in that night's episode. I liked the tie in of her character, Alex, being brought in and it was a type of closure for her and Mia with their problems in the past. One Tree Hill - The Wedding of Brooke and Julian - February 2, 2011

Weddings can go well in Tree Hill. Hmm, who knew? Last night was the big One Tree Hill wedding for Brooke and Julian. There was no drama whatsoever. Weddings have not well at Tree Hill in the past. We've seen people leave others at the altar, kidnappings, and whatever else you can think of. This wedding went smooth and it was nice. I really did like the nice touch of Skillz taking it upon himself to stand guard. His standing up and making sure nobody objected to the wedding was a very funny touch. I really liked the speeches by Haley and Jamie during the reception. The episode did a really good job of tying together stories from both Brooke and Julian's youth. Brooke was shown as a little girl catching the veil as a just married couple went by. She kept it but of course got gloomed and doomed by her mom but what else is new? Julian's story that he told Jamie was nice where he had a token from his childhood. His first crush as a youngster and he and the girl split the token in half. It was that symbol that their other half was out there. He gave it to Jamie and said that he didn't need it anymore cause he had found his other half. One Tree Hill has always been great about backstories like this to throw into an episode. The episode also tied up some other moments such as Quinn coming clean to Clay about how she had probably been the cause for the sequel of the Sarah deal. Then, Alex was able to move on in that love triangle while also making a friend out of Quinn. It was a bummer that we didn't get Lucas and Peyton but that's ok. The show did a great job of tying this current group together and I loved Haley being asked to be the maid of honor. On a side note, I missed last week's episode based on my DVR needing space to record something else. So, it deleted One Tree Hill. Yep, I sat down, had my food, fired up the DVR, and....nothing. To say that I was annoyed would be an understatement. So, I watched last week's episode before the wedding episode last night. Really funny. Just really, really well done. I can't really add anything more to it other than that. ha ha. So, we escaped a Tree Hill wedding without a major catastrophe and it was a lot of fun.

One Tree Hill Brings A Storm - December 7, 2010

One Tree Hill went into its hiatus with a huge episode. Thank you for not leaving me on a cliffhanger tonight. What an episode!! The episode had a central problem of a huge storm which caused chaos all around. It was drama filled from start to finish and was one of the biggest cheer at the TV kind of episodes that they've done. That scene where Quinn showed back up at the door after the fall into the pool was just awesome. I was cheering big time when she reappeared. If you missed it, Katie returned to finish off Quinn so she could have Clay to herself. It turned into a fight to the finish. Quinn ended up shooting Katie in the same spot where the previous shooting had happened at. Katie was taken out of there by the paramedics and was alive. That was Quinn's point of view on it was that she was going to have more dignity than to leave somebody laying there suffering for over ten hours. The other drama of the episode centered around Brooke. Lauren took the kids home from the spelling bee which included Jamie. An accident happened on the bridge and Brooke come up on the vehicle laying on its side. Why was Brooke on the road? She had a fight with Julian after he wanted them to move back to LA. She needed to get away and into the storm she went. Brooke was able to clear the vehicle of everyone except for Jamie. She was unable to cut him free. Julian showed up on the scene after he was cut off from Brooke on the phone. Another vehicle came along and struck Lauren's vehicle knocking it from the bridge. Note that this was a hit and run as the driver took off. It ended up with Julian fighting under water to get Jamie and now Brooke free. Then, of course the levee breaks sending water flying into them. Jamie is freed and Julian is finally able to free Brooke after she loses consciousness. The finish of this was an intense moment with Haley and Nathan coming up on the accident and seeing Julian trying to save Brooke. She eventually comes back but it was another cheer at your TV type moment wanting Brooke to breathe. Just an amazing episode tonight and I'm just thankful that we didn't get left on a cliffhanger until the end of January. One Tree Hill definitely knows how to do these really intense episodes and get you on the edge of your seat. They've done it for many years with the show. So, now that this episode is over, I think I'll leave the TV and see if I can go and try to breathe now. LOL.

American Country Awards Winners, Survivor Sees Two Leave The Game, One Tree Hill, 90210 - December 7, 2010

The first ever American Country Awards were held last night from Las Vegas and airing on Fox. Carrie Underwood was the big winner taking home all six awards that she was nominated for including Artist Of The Year, Female Artist Of The Year, Album Of The Year, Female Single Of The Year, Touring Headline Package Of The Year, and Female Music Video for "Cowboy Casanova". Lady Antebellum was the next with the most wins taking home four awards including Duo or Group Of The Year, Single Of The Year, Group Single Of The Year, and also Duo or Group Music Video all for "Need You Now". Brad Paisley won the honor for Male Artist Of The Year.

One thing was made very clear with the tickets that did go on sale for Taylor Swift's upcoming tour. If you want tickets for upcoming dates, you had better be waiting to buy when they go on sale. Even then, you aren't guaranteed to get them. She reportedly sold out two shows at Staples Center in Los Angeles in two minutes and sold out another huge venue in five minutes.

Tonight's One Tree Hill will be the last before the show goes on its annual hiatus. This looks like an intense episode coming up tonight which will see Quinn getting a return visit from Katie. The previews look like something straight out of a horror movie. Things aren't looking good for Brooke in this episode either. I have a feeling that I will be yelling nooooo at the end of this episode when I realize we're left with some major cliffhangers.

Since I'm on the topic of shows leaving us with cliffhangers, let's get to 90210. This season has been more enjoyable for me. Do I like everything? No, but I like more than I don't like and the show has settled down. I'm enjoying the Adrianna storyline with how it has turned out. She has went from victim to flying high with the deal of becoming a pop star and how she went about it. Interesting to see how they have turned the tide on her with us almost having sympathy for her manager now. She has basically chased off Navid and sent him right to Silver which I've been enjoying watching cause I like those two characters with how they play off of one another. When I saw Liam arrive hurt at Annie's house, I thought, uh oh, it's Dylan and Brenda all over again. Fresh off the break up, he's hurt and arrives at Brenda's house hurt. Then, the two start getting back together. Granted that Liam and Annie haven't been a couple obviously but the teases have been there. They have really worked hard on making Ivey a central character this season as well and we're really seen a lot in building her character up.

Survivor has been a hot topic for the last week due to having two people quit the game. NaOnka and Kelly quit the game with only eleven days left. I don't know if I was surprised or not by them quitting. I was not surprised at NaOnka cause she has been threatening to quit for a while now. Wow, she sure did get that last shot in at her cast mates for taking the reward despite the fact that she was going to get to eat later in the night after quitting. Kelly has been laying back more in the background. The two just couldn't take anymore and Kelly has talked about just how sick that she was while doing her post show interviews. With people quitting, you're going to make jury members furious who could still be in the game and want to be in the game. Jeff Probst did a blog last week talking about how he would like to see the rule changed where if you quit the game, you give up your right to sit on the jury. We'reGoingBack.Com's Back To The Future Celebration Is A Big Hit, A Preview Of The New Back To The Future Video Game - December 3, 2010

I love that it is 2010 and there is so much Back To The Future stuff to talk about this week. Here are a couple of Back To The Future items besides my Blu-ray review. I've been following the happenings of We'reGoingBack.com's Back To The Future event that recently took place in California. I wasn't even there and I can see how fun and impressive that it was. I'm thankful for all the people that have posted pictures and video from the event. The event kicked off with the screening of the movie at the mall that was known as Twin Pines Mall in the movie. They had a lot of fun which was complete with a reenactment of the mall chase scene. I loved seeing all the film tour locations. It's hard to pick a favorite cause they're all so great but it is so hard to go against seeing them putting a Delorean on the railroad track used at the end of BTTF 3 which was the scene where Marty returned to 1985 and had the Delorean destroyed. Seeing it back on that track was just incredible even just seeing videos and pictures of it. How great to see the Delorean shut down traffic at the railroad crossing. Just awesome. They also had a hoverboard event which looked like a lot of fun. The event ended with the Enchantment Under The Sea Dance which took place in the same location as the movie. Keep in mind that there were a lot of the stars from the trilogy in attendance at several of the events through the week. I wish I could have made it to this event as it looked incredible. Kudos to everyone who was in charge of this event and did such a great job. The fan reaction has been big time positive and it looks like a great time was had by all. The story of this game will take place just a few months after the events of BTTF 3. The game will be released on Mac and PC. Back To The Future 25th Anniversary Blu-ray Review - December 1, 2010

Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads. Back To The Future was recently released on Blu-ray and has been a hit among the BTTF fans. I am including myself in that as well because I love this set. As far as the movies themselves, it is no secret that I've been a fanatic of these movies all of my life. If I see them on TV, I will stop often and watch at least some of them. You know that you love a movie when you can watch it over and over but yet never get tired of them. Case and point even goes to this box set. I watched BTTF 3 the other night and was glued the whole time. Afterwards, I thought that I needed to listen to the audio commentary sometime soon. I decided to just listen to a bit of it to see what it sounded like. I ended up listening to the whole thing so basically I watched the movie twice in a row and loved it. Back To The Future is such a perfectly written movie. It has a great story, cast, and just every sort of emotion in it that you could ask for. You get invested in these characters and their stories.

As far as the Blu-ray presentation, you won't be disappointed. Part one looks incredible! I found myself in awe just so many times while watching it with how good it looked. Parts two and three don't have the crispness of picture that the first does but the presentation is still great. I really found myself paying attention to how good a lot of the Hill Valley 1885 scenes looked especially the train scene at the end.

With the extras, there is no shortage of them. If you've been buying these DVD releases over the years, a lot of these extras aren't new to you. They've carried over most of them while adding some new ones as well. The big new addition is the Tales From The Future documentary that runs over a couple of hours long and is spread throughout the box set. It includes new interviews with a lot of the cast and crew including Bob Gale, Steven Spielberg, Robert Zemeckis, Michael J. Fox, Lea Thompson, and more. I really enjoyed this behind the scenes look at it including the hard work to get the movie even off the ground, how they shot it, different ideas that they had planned for the movies but didn't do, casting, and plenty more. It is really good. I was afraid that they might focus most of their attention on the first movie and not have a lot on the sequels. Yes, most of the attention does go rightfully on the first movie but there is plenty of behind the scenes stuff on the sequels which I loved. There are stories on why Crispin Glover and Claudia Wells did not return for the sequels. Glover's was a contract problem while Wells was taking care of her mother who was very sick. It is amazing to hear how much work Michael J. Fox did to take part in this movie while also doing Family Ties. He says that there is a lot of shooting the first movie that he doesn't remember because he was so tired. They do show some stuff of Eric Stoltz who was set to play the role of Marty after they couldn't get Michael originally. Just seeing what was shown, he just didn't feel right for the role and that was how they felt too. They worked things out however they had to to get Michael in the role. There is a look at what the original idea was to close out the first movie and send Marty back to 1985 but everyone was much happier with the way it turned out. I know I am!! We learned that there was a push from high up in the company to call the movie "Space Man From Pluto" instead of Back To The Future. They all saw how bad that name was and had a clever way of getting the Back To The Future title instead. Mary Steenburgen is also interviewed and is a great interview talking about how much fun she had with the movie. Like I said, they carried a lot of the extras over from the other sets which is great including the deleted scenes, commentaries, Q&A's, music videos, Back To The Future: The Ride, trailers, and plenty more. There is a nice FAQ that is on the set as well. I love how they explained the alternate realities of Clara and the transition of Clayton Ravine and Shonash Ravine. Really well done.

The only negative with this set. The packaging. I'm not talking artwork. The artwork looks great. I'm talking about the actual disc holder. It is so hard to get the discs in and out of place so be careful with them.

If you're a fan of the trilogy, I can't recommend this Blu-ray set enough. The movies look great especially the first one. Tons of extras that will keep you watching for hours. I see this set getting a lot of repeated play in my future. The future? Oh, I can tell you about the future......

The Buffy Movie Reboot Is Still Moving Forward Without Joss Whedon - November 30, 2010

Ugh. Is this still going? Do they not realize how annoyed that they are making the fan base? I am talking about the Buffy The Vampire Slayer movie remake. News came out a while back about a Buffy reboot which is going to get fans excited. Anytime there is any kind of new news about Buffy, the Whedonverse including myself gets excited. So, what is this movie going to be? Oh, it doesn't have Sarah Michelle Gellar? Hmm, ok. So, what is Joss Whedon's plan with it going to be. Oh, Joss has nothing to do with it? What about the rest of the cast? What are they going to be doing? Oh, they're not involved in it either? Well, what is this movie? Seriously though, Warner Brothers announced recently that they are moving forward on their remake of Buffy and it will have none of the Whedonverse involved in it. As you can expect, fans are outraged over the possibility of a Buffy movie being made outside of the Whedonverse. There is going to be a big backlash over this movie from fans and it's already starting. Kristin over at E Online asked Joss Whedon for his comments on the Buffy movie moving forward and it was nice to see that he's just as annoyed as us fans are. But, you know, AFTER. I don't love the idea of my creation in other hands, but I'm also well aware that many more hands than mine went into making that show what it was. Ultimately, I think it is respectful to leave original projects in the hands of those that made it. Let them be the ones to bring something back if they please. It's like Back To The Future. The producers of that movie have made it clear that there will be no part four. They don't want it and don't want to mess with the franchise. That is their right. Even if someone else owns trademarks and such like what is happening with the Warner Brothers/Buffy situation, I just think it is disrespectful to go over someone like they are doing with Joss. Buffy without Joss Whedon involved means I want nothing to do with it. Warner Brothers needs to take note of the fans that are feeling the same way. You have a guaranteed fan base that will show up with anything that Joss produces. You do realize that you are turning off this very fan base, right?

Leslie Nielsen, Jennifer Grey Takes DWTS, Chuck, Eliza Dushku Gets A New Role - November 30, 2010

The sad news of this early week was the passing of Leslie Nielsen. Just such a sad thing to hear. He made so many people laugh including myself. My introduction to Nielsen was through the Naked Gun movies. They were so funny and he just a great delivery on his comedy. You could tell that he just loved his job so much with making people laugh. Nielsen passed away due to complications from pneumonia at the age of 84.

Congratulations to Jennifer Grey on winning this season's Dancing With The Stars. When I heard the announcement of the cast for this season, I was immediately pulling for her. All I could think was what a great comeback story that it would be for her. She was strong throughout the competition and was battling an injury in the final week.

I'm really enjoying this season's Chuck. The addition of Chuck's mom has been really fun. The more fun is trying to figure out whose side she is on. The writers are doing a great job of blurring the lines with that character where you just can't figure her out. Really fun season so far and there is so much left to go. Summer Glau was awesome in her guest starring role as she had to battle with Jeffster. The Firefly fan in me loved seeing Summer and Adam Baldwin together in scenes again.

Since I'm talking Whedonverse stuff, Deadline has reported that Eliza Dushku is set to get a pilot on TNT called Bird Dog. Great to see her getting signed on with another show already. Thanksgiving at One Tree Hill had a little bit of everything. Returns, fighting, drama, reunions, sports, choices, a major clothesline, and more. The Scott house became the place to be when others had their plans go wrong. Quinn made her return and reunited with Clay. When she started posting the pictures from her vacation in the room, my first thought was "what is on those pictures?" Yeah, she is on a mission of getting even with the person that almost ended her and Clay's life. Alex and Mia. This was fun. You just knew this had to build up into something. Add in a football game and you get some physicality added to their issues. A major clothesline from Alex followed by a big slap from Mia capped it off. Julian had the answer that the girls were looking for and that was who he picked between the two. His decision caught them off guard when they watched the video of his interview. He chose neither of them because they had both hurt him and said he needed to be on his own. Victoria returns....and makes Brooke's Thanksgiving miserable. To make things worse for Brooke, her future mother in law was doing all she could to be nice to Victoria. Mouth and Millie appear to be on their way to getting back together. It was a really entertaining episode that was directed by Bethany Joy Galeotti. It's nice to see the show doing more holiday themed episodes this year with this and the Halloween episode.

It's Robin Sparkles 3, ya'll. That quote is courtesy of Barney in the beginning of this week's How I Met Your Mother. Yes, round three of the Robin Sparkles story which involved Robin being part of a kids space program about teaching them math. Yeah, the whole presentation of the program was way too much for the gang to take as they watched it. It also brought up a problem between Robin and Lily. Robin had been bombarded with baby talk from Lily. We found out that Robin was having trouble in this scenario because her best friend on the kids program, Jessica Glitter, had dumped her in the past. The reason was that Jessica knew she'd have no time for Robin anymore and that things would be different. This hurt Robin and Jessica but it tied over to Lily. The Robin Sparkles show was a fun backdrop to this Robin and Lily story. I wonder what they'll come up with for Robin Sparkles 4? I'm sure it will be great.

Missing Robin Sparkles on How I Met Your Mother? Well, tonight is your night. Robin Sparkles will return in tonight's episode on CBS. This time it appears that we'll be seeing her in an educational special that went wrong. The Robin Sparkles story has been one of those things with this show that you can't get enough of and the producers do a great job of giving you a taste of it but not overdoing it to where you're tired of it. That goes along with how well they do with bringing back the slap bet every so often as well. They drop these little teases about Robin's pop star past every so often and then we get the pay off. It has brought a lot of fun cameos as well with the music videos that have been produced which have included Alan Thicke and James Van der beek. We've been to the mall and then to the beach with sand castles. Where will Robin Sparkles take us this time?

Chuck has a big guest star tonight as Summer Glau will be appearing on the show. That will of course be on NBC. If you haven't seen Chuck this season, it has been great and you need to check it out.

Just wanted to touch on a couple of other shows as well since I haven't had time to talk about them. I'll start with Survivor. Well, Marty's number was finally up and he is gone. I can't say I'm surprised. I was surprised to hear him criticizing Chase's game as much as he was. All I could think was are you really in a position to be criticizing someone else's game right now when you're barely hanging on? Speaking of barely hanging on, what about Naonka? Actually, I'm wondering if she is barely hanging on. She is either going to be someone that is voted off very soon or going to be kept around till the end because people think they can win against her. Her social game is really bad. It's not Russell level kind of bad but it's not far off. You can't keep going off on people that you expect to vote for you to win a million dollars. I do realize that this game messes with people and sometimes brings out the best in people but also the worst in people.

On to last week's Storm Chasers. What a day for the TWISTEX team. That was awesome!! They landed their probe right in the middle of that massive tornado. I was so happy to see them have such great success. It doesn't sound like they are done either with their great success after hearing rumblings of the next episode or so. The TIV team had a rough day trying to push on without Matt. Bad decision making when the TIV team decided to make some really bad passing judgments on the opposite side of the road despite upcoming hills. Lots of chasers were having frustration that day cause there were so many people out trying to chase the storm. Traffic was just horrible. I did go to You Tube and find that video that was shown of the TIV crew driving up the hill in the wrong lane. Yeah, it looked really bad on them and Sean knew at the time that it was a bad idea. The driver took the blame for it and they'll learn from it. Unfortunately, Sean has to meet with Josh who is not happy about the video that was shown of them. Josh is threatening to cut the funding for Sean's movie over the incident. The TVN crew is still having difficulties with them seemingly being on separate agendas. Reed has what he is wanting to do with getting more scientific data while Joel and Chris are more into just wanting to chase.

CMA Awards - Carrie and Brad Stay Entertaining As Hosts, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, and Lady Antebellum Among Big Winners - November 11, 2010

It was a good night for Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton last night. The CMA Awards took place from Nashville, TN and was hosted by Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley. They were a lot of fun as always. The two really play well off of each other. I could go into a rant about how Carrie was left out of the nominations especially Entertainer Of The Year considering she has one of the hottest selling tours in the country but I'll just leave it at that. They apparently like her cause they ask her to host. Ok, done ranting. Carrie rocked the house with "If It Weren't For Guys Like You" along with Brad, and Keith Urban. Really strong performance to open the show. She later did a great performance of "Mama's Song". Brad took home the award for Entertainer Of The Year and gave a tearful acceptance speech. Miranda and Blake had a great night as Miranda won for Female Vocalist Of The Year while Blake won for Male Vocalist Of The Year. Miranda wasn't done winning awards though as she took home the awards for Album Of The Year for "Revolution" and also Song Of The Year for "The House That Built Me". What a year for Miranda. Speaking of great years, let's get to Lady Antebellum. I loved their performance of "Hello World". I've really gotten hooked on that song in the last couple of weeks and the performance of it wasn't a letdown. They took home the awards for Vocal Group Of The Year and Single Of The Year for "Need You Now". The Zac Brown Band won for New Artist. Sugarland won for Vocal Duo Of The Year. Miranda Lambert's video for "The House That Built Me" also won for the Music Video Of The Year. Gwyneth Paltrow had a lot of attention on her for her performance of "Country Strong". You could definitely feel the support there for her and it was great to see. I was bummed to see The Band Perry only get to perform part of their hit song, "If I Die Young". I was just getting into it and then they started reading award winners. Overall, an entertaining awards show. The Carrie award and nomination shut outs are getting annoying though.

Conan Debuts, Michael J. Fox Returns To TV, Amazing Race - November 9, 2010

Conan O'Brien debuted his long awaited new show on TBS last night. I enjoyed it and it was this feeling of redemption to see him back doing late night TV. The opening sequence was well done with him showing the fallout of his decision of not taking the new time slot for The Tonight Show. It involved him getting shot at Godfather style on the studio lot and then showing all of the other jobs that he had attempted after leaving NBC. It was classic Conan stuff. I'm impressed with the look of the studio and the remote control moving moon in the background was a fun touch. He didn't pull any punches with his line of "it's not easy doing a late night show on a channel without a lot of money and that viewers have trouble finding. So, that's why I left NBC." Ricky Gervais was very funny with his pre-recorded messages congratulating Conan and then recording others as well in case things didn't work out was a clever idea. A fun first show and just what you would expect out of Conan. He is on weeknights at 10pm central time on TBS. The ratings are also in on the premiere and Conan beat all the talk shows including Leno and Letterman.

Michael J. Fox returns to TV tonight guest starring on the show, The Good Wife. Fox will play a lawyer that is fighting for the pharmaceutical companies and is using his Parkinson's condition to his advantage in court. I'm thrilled to have Michael back on TV and I'm a huge fan of his.

A costly rule was broken on The Amazing Race this week. It wasn't just one team that broke it but several. The teams had to walk instead of taking a cab on one point of this leg of the race. Brooke and Claire realized what they had done and went back to make the walk which avoided the penalty. They still finished second on this leg despite having to go back. Chad and Stephanie took a penalty but Michael and Kevin got the double penalty. Their penalty was longer and those two teams were at the line last so Michael and Kevin were eliminated. It was a bummer to see them get eliminated like that on a penalty but it's part of the race. Nat and Kat finished in first place.

Back To The Future Items Sell High At The Hollywood Auction - November 6, 2010

This has been a big month or so for Back To The Future fans. So much to keep up with as the 25th anniversary passed. I have seen Back To The Future in Blu-ray and it looks incredible. I will have a review of the set up on the site soon. The big Hollywood Auction has been taking place tonight which had Bob Gale putting up a ton of items up for bid to help raise money for the Michael J. Fox Foundation. Storm Chasers Pays Tribute To Matt Hughes - November 4, 2010

This week's Storm Chasers was a great but yet somber of a mood of an episode. A couple of weeks or so ago, news started to get out about Matt Hughes passing. He is, of course, part of the TIV team and has been navigating Sean this season in the passenger seat of the TIV. He passed away back in the spring due to injuries not related to chasing. A definite and sad shocker of a story to learn. I really enjoyed watching Matt storm chase. He had this really exciting energy to him especially when he was right there in the mix of it. This week's episode was dedicated to him in memory and focused on his last chase. What a chase it was. He was given the reigns this time around and Sean put his trust in him to get the tornado. He got the TIV right in position and they intercepted the tornado. Matt had really had to battle to get Sean's trust to get full control of the mission and Matt proved himself big time. Just seeing Matt get to experience this big thing was fun to watch. Next week's episode is going to focus on the TIV team moving on without Matt. My prayers obviously go out to his family and friends who are missing him. Just so sad to learn of that news. As far as the rest of the episode goes, it was a wild one with a fast moving weather system. Wow, the TVN crew is not getting along at all. You get a girl involved and the whole thing blows up. Just kidding. LOL. Chris and Reed are not getting along after Chris was moved out of the dominator so Reed's girlfriend could chase with them. That did not go over well with Chris and he is still mad over it. Well, Chris learned in this episode that Ginger will be returning possibly which means he'll be out of the chase again. The issues between the TVN crew ended up really costing them the chase in this storm event. TWISTEX was working on their equipment making sure to get it just right and they were battling to stay in the mix of it. The storms were moving so fast that they were having trouble staying in the chase. Sean met up with Josh once again. Josh wouldn't direct Sean cause of some secret operation that they are on and basically said that no matter what that Sean was on his own. However, Josh tells Sean, hey, you can let us have some of your data if you do intercept. Wow. Just wow. I'm really hoping to see the TIV crew have a great rest of the season in tribute to Matt. I know they're going to have a tough time and will be missing him. God bless you Matt. Here is the tribute that played at the end of the episode.

Smallville, OSCK Issue 2, Amazing Race, TV on DVD - November 1, 2010

Just thought I'd talk a little about Smallville. I am loving what they are doing this season. The secret is out with Clark and Lois and she knows his secret and he knows that she knows his secret. Sounds like I'm quoting that line from Joey on Friends. LOL. I loved the scene where it was revealed and he gave her this look of "how long have you known this?" Really good stuff. Last week's episode had a flashback feel of what earlier seasons were like with a monster of the week kind of vibe to it. Tom Welling and Erica Durance have amazing chemistry on screen and they just really bring those characters to life. We're seeing the big payoff of that chemistry in this great tenth season.

I am enjoying this season of The Amazing Race more than recent seasons. Some really fun personalities on this season. Gary and Mallory have been my favorites so far. Fun team to watch. Brook and Claire have an interesting dynamic and add a lot of personality to the race. They have fought hard in this race after being in a lot of tough situations. Michael and Kevin are fighting on as well and have had some rough spots where it looked like their race was over. Great job to them!! Nick and Vicki finished last on this leg of the race but found out that it was a non-elimination round. So, they'll have another chance at it. After last week's episode, I began to wonder how familiar that Nick and Vicki were with this show. They were completely lost when they saw "fast forward taken" with not knowing what that meant. I was amazed when they were for it being that far back in the pack.

Taylor Swift - Speak Now - Album Review, Lady Antebellum Returns To Milwaukee Gas Station For A Free Concert - October 28, 2010

Taylor Swift's new album was released this week. I have gotten a chance to listen to it and it is really good. I think it is her best album yet. Taylor's writing has always been her strong point with her being able to take events of her life and turn them into song. She has said that there are some songs that take her a while to write while others come together quickly. This album has a great mix of music to it. So many catchy songs that will get in your head. One song that grabbed me immediately is Haunted. The sound to it is so unique from the rest of the album right at the beginning of it. Just great background music to it. Long Live is also a favorite. I don't know what songs that she will pick off of this album as singles but she has a lot of songs that will be hits if they are chosen. I was four songs into the album and was already thinking this is really good. If you like her other stuff, you'll like this album too. I still think this is her best album yet.

I read a story about Lady Antebellum last week that I found to be a really fun story. Then, they posted a video of it this week. Three years ago, Lady Antebellum was still an unknown working their way up. They played a gig at a gas station in Milwaukee, WI with the radio station for the opening of deer season. If you watch the video, they are playing for an audience of about 15 people that are there eating. Recently, Lady Antebellum returned to the scene of this performance and they had a LOT more people there than 15. They performed a free concert for the crowd there. Hollywood Treasure Debuts Tonight On Syfy, Online Auction - October 27, 2010

I got this info to pass along to you. A new show debuts tonight on Syfy called Hollywood Treasure. This reality show follows Joe Maddalena who deals with showbiz and pop culture memorabilia. He is the owner of Profiles in History which recently did the Lost auction and the upcoming Hollywood auction including many Back To The Future items which will have me glued to the computer as to what the bidding gets up to. The show will debut tonight on Syfy at 9pm central time with back to back episodes. To tie into the premiere of Hollywood Treasure, Syfy is teaming up with KaBoom! for auctions of lots involving several Syfy shows. These auctions will continue for seven weeks with a new one each week of course. Net proceeds raised will go to KaBoom! which is a national non-profit organization with a goal of having a great place for kids to play within walking distance of every child in America. Tonight's auction will be a Battlestar Galactica experience package which includes a trip to see the Battlestar Galactica exhibit at the Seattle Science Museum including exclusive access to the ship featured at the exhibit. You'll also get a Blu-ray of the full Battle Galactica series as well.

Week 2 (11/3-11/9): Trip to Comic-Con 2011. Winner stays at the Solomar Hotel, receives passes to the convention center and gets two tickets to Syfy's exclusive party.

Back To The Future 25th Anniversary DVD In Stores Today - October 26, 2010

Today is the day that Back To The Future fans have been waiting for. The big Blu-ray and DVD release. The release also falls on the day of the 25th anniversary of the movie. I still can't believe it has been 25 years since the movie was released. I am thankful to have seen all three of the movies in the theaters in their original run. I am completely jealous of the people that are getting to go and see the movie in theaters again over the last several days. Definitely a bummer that we have no AMC theaters in the area. Halloween At One Tree Hill, Survivor Eliminates Two, Regis and Kelly Halloween Special - October 22, 2010

This week's One Tree Hill was a Halloween themed episode. One thing that One Tree Hill doesn't do is a lot of holiday themed shows like this so this was fun to see. The show opened with a big time horror nightmare sequence of Quinn's. When I was watching this scene, I was thinking that the cast probably had a really fun time making it. It was something different from anything else I've seen on the show. Quinn and Clay continue to try and move on from the shooting including Quinn still having fear going on from it. Nathan continuing to move on from basketball and enjoying a fun night out with Jamie trick or treating with his friends. That was a fun little story for the show and the Harry Potter costumes were well done. I had one thing that popped into my head while watching Jamie and Chuck's interaction and flashing back with the passing of Barbara Billingsley this week. They remind me of Beaver and Larry on Leave It To Beaver. Larry was always coming up with stuff and daring Beaver on things which would get him into trouble. Chuck is a definite modern day version of that character cause you just know nothing good is going to result from Chuck's plans. LOL. It is fun when things get turned around on Chuck. Brooke met Jullian's mom and the two started to hit it off after a rocky meeting. I can already see that this relationship is not going to go well with Brooke having to fight for control. It looks like Haley has met her help line caller who was the talented singer at the club. Don't forget the fun that was seeing the high five of Jullian's. Really enjoyed the episode a lot.

This week's Survivor had two castaways going home. One was Kelly B which was disappointing to me. She was probably my favorite so far this season. She seems to be one of the few nice ones this season. LOL. Strong competitor too. Kelly was a target of Naonka's from early on in the game. Why? Nobody still has yet to figure it out. This plan was moved about by Brenda to get two things accomplished. Set up a tie vote and make Marty nervous. Get him to use the idol and get it flushed out. Then, vote Kelly out. Well, she was one of two with her plan. Kelly did go home after the revote on the tie. Marty did not use the idol. We definitely are setting up for a showdown between Marty and Brenda. I've been watching Brenda over the last few weeks a little closer and she is going to be, and already is, a force in this game. I think the others are starting to see that as well. If they don't, Marty is about to make sure that they do. In the other tribe, Yve was sent home. It came down as a deal to either vote out Dan who isn't doing as well at challenges and struggling physically or vote out Yve who they felt was a big threat in the game. The threat was voted out.

Next week is the big annual Live With Regis and Kelly Halloween show. They are promoting it as "Reality Bites Again. Chomped From The Headlines". Over 30 different costumes. This show is always great every year. Tune in next Friday, October 29 and check your local listings for air times.

Team Coco Running Live Camera For 24 Hours, Chuck Gets Renewed, Storm Chasers - October 20, 2010

Team Coco is running a live camera online for 24 hours. The camera started up at noon central time on Wednesday afternoon. This is of course the Conan O'Brien team and a very fun way to continue the promotion of the new show set to premiere on TBS. They have the camera set up in the stairwell of the building of their headquarters. Random stuff just keeps going on around it. You'll see people going up and down the stairs of course with some playing to the camera and some not. However, this afternoon saw an appearance by a dancing taco. Later, there was a Taco Bell restaurant costume that came through. Hello product placement. Two people showed up playing ping pong at one point and there have been acting scenes played out. If you're a Yankees fan, you could get updates on the game as you watched the webcam as a woman kept coming to the camera with a note that had the score on it. We have seen a quick appearance by George Lopez and Dog The Bounty Hunter as they snuck down the stairs stealing some stuff. LOL. Conan and Andy made an appearance as well disrupting a poetry reading. It really is fun to watch cause it is like a feeling of watching an improv show with not knowing what is coming next. Hey Chuck fans. Great news as NBC has picked up the show for the full season. The show has been excellent this season!!

Tonight's Storm Chasers on Discovery Channel showed that horrible other side of storm chasing. The tragedy side of it. Yazoo City, MS was hit by a massive tornado and the TVN crew was right in the mix of it. After the radar went down, the tornado got away from them and crossed paths in front of them. That left them driving right into the damage path. It was awful and they turned from chasers into helping with the effort to help people. It really showed the dangers of what was going on with houses destroyed and them having to dodge power lines to even get to people. Just a dangerous and horrible situation. They were able to help one guy who suffered from a spinal cord injury. I hope that maybe they have some sort of way on updating us on that guy's condition cause I'd really like to know how he is doing with months having passed since then. The other chasers were watching the radar and Reed's website to see what was occurring in Mississippi as they were chasing up in Illinois and Missouri. Kudos to the TVN crew for helping with the horrible tragedy. It was a scary and horrible situation and my thoughts and prayers go out to everyone there.

Remembering Barbara Billingsley and Tom Bosley - October 20, 2010

Two sad passings this week in the world of TV. Barbara Billingsley and Tom Bosley passed away. Billingsley played the role of June Cleaver on Leave It To Beaver. The role became an iconic one and one that she was great in playing. She was that ultimate TV mom that everyone loved. She would be that tough mom when she had to be to keep the kids in line but also keeping Ward in line as well. The show has lived on all these years later and it is a show that I still love. I find myself still watching it from time to time if I see it on. It has always been such an enjoyable and family fun show. Billingsley was 94.

Bosley is most known for his role as Mr. Cunningham on Happy Days. Like Leave It To Beaver, Happy Days was another iconic show that saw these characters become pop culture legend. When you think TV dads, he is always going to show up on the list of all time favorites. The show launched such characters as the Fonz and of course the Cunninghams. Bosley was so great on that show and just that great dad that people admired as they watched the show over many generations of TV. Bosley was 83 and passed away from heart failure as he had also been battling lung cancer. When I learned of the news of Bosley, it was this feeling of how wild that it was that two of the biggest TV parents of all time passed away within days of each other. Both left a huge stamp on the world of TV and are not going to be forgotten.

Smallville 200th Episode Thoughts - October 15, 2010

The past, present, and future all tied into one episode. Not just any episode but the 200th episode. What an episode and what a season so far!! Smallville is getting closer to finishing and there is no doubt that they are going out with a bang. The scene was set for the Smallville high school reunion complete with flashbacks of earlier seasons including Lana and Chloe. I loved Clark roaming around and seeing various moments of his high school days such as when he bumped into Lana in the front of the school and Chloe showing Clark the wall of weird. Lois talked Clark into returning to Smallville High and got a hero's welcome. Good comedy with Lois returning as well with her being annoyed that no one remembered her in high school. She was enrolled for 23 days and showed up for 5 of those days. LOL. Clark got an unexpected visitor in Brainiac. This visit wasn't a bad one as it was Brainiac from the future who is now a part of the Legion complete with the ring. He took Clark on a journey of his past helping him get past the darkness that filled him since his dad passed away. He basically told him that he can't keep blaming himself and dwelling on it. That is the darkness that we have been told about this season. It has been holding Clark back. Clark did end up in the future and saw what things were like. He was with Lois and she had been told his secret. Clark was Superman and on the front page of the papers. Clark avoided the Back To The Future paradox even after bumping into his "other self". Future Clark was expecting him because he knew of the events from his past. Both were able to make saves at the same time with future Clark stopping a nuclear incident while the other Clark saved Lois. Brainiac caught up to him in the future and Clark was now able to move on. He was able to see that he could have what he wanted in his life which included Lois. What about Oliver? Brainiac showed Clark just how much that Oliver did count on him being around even though Oliver tries to hide it. Clark showed up to support him in his network interview which is likely going to be a bonding type moment with them getting on the same page now. The new crew at The Torch got a message that appeared to be from Chloe acknowledging their work with carrying on her tradition. They did have the wall of weird all stored in a digital format. Clark gave a farewell to his dad at the gravesite and it served as that time to move on moment. Just a great episode all around. Powerful and brought out a ton of emotions from viewers. It let us reflect on the past, see what is happening currently and giving a glimpse of what to expect for the rest of the season, and then seeing what the future looks like as well. James Marsters was awesome in returning in his Brainiac role. Great episode. I don't know what else to say. Only bummer was not seeing some of the others get to share in the reunion such as Chloe or even Pete. However, the focus of it was on Clark and also on Lois. This episode is going to stand as the turning point of Clark getting back on track and that was what the important part of it was.

Survivor Thoughts, 30 Rock Goes Live Tonight, 90210, - October 14, 2010

Last night's Survivor had a major mixup on the game. I always love when the ones that think they have it all figured out suddenly get that reality check. Marty was riding high with his game play being in that leadership role and then it was all mixed up. The tribes were switched and the younger and older tribes are no more. After a random draw, Brenda and Holly were declared captains and were able to pick from the other tribe on who they wanted. Brenda chose Jane, Marty, and Jill to bring over to La Flor. Anybody else always think Sawyer when they hear the name La Flor? Yes, still having Lost withdrawal. Back to Survivor. Holly chooses Ben, Chase, Alina, and Naonka for Espada. The first challenge between the new tribes was a reward challenge which was won in a close one by Espada. So, what did we learn about the differences in the tribes? The younger crew was absolutely not used to all the rules and routines that the older crew had come up with. The funny thing was that some of the older crew loved learning that the younger crew didn't have set plans on what they did every day. LOL. At Espada's camp, Tyrone started rubbing people wrong when he started setting down the plans of what they did every day and the rules that went along with it. He also clashed with them on decisions including whether to eat the chicken. He didn't want to but was outvoted. When they were eating, the others weren't happy when they saw that he ended up eating the most out of all of them. Naonka had a major breakdown after the weather and conditions got to be too much for her. Espada ends up losing the immunity challenge and it appeared that Naonka would go home. She was ready to go home and seemed to expect it. The tribe had something else in mind and that was blindsiding Tyrone and sending him home instead. So, the tribe took a chance. I never know what to think about sending a stronger competitor home instead of sending one home that is done and just ready to go home. One of those "don't you need to keep the tribe stronger" kind of moments. We'll see how it plays out for Espada though. The medallion is now out of the game which I'm happy about happening. I felt it just made the challenges boring.

Tonight is the live 30 Rock episode. They will be doing two live shows performing for both parts of the country depending on time zones. Tune in tonight at 7:30pm central time on NBC. The episode should increase ratings with people curious to see how it all turns out.

This week's 90210 was a good episode. Just had a nice pacing to it. The pacing of it led me to believe that this plan by Silver to frame the teacher was not going to end well. I just had this feeling of that this is not going to wrap up in a quick after thought in the last few minutes of the show. Silver and crew went too far overboard with the plan and got caught. Dixon avoided a major health scare but messed up his relationship in the process. I have learned one thing about Dixon over this series run. This character always makes bad decisions. He breaks up with Ivy BEFORE he even knows anything. However, I do think it needs to be outlawed that doctors have calls made to you to say "hey, we need you to come in" but not giving any results over the phone. Just leaves you on it to go stir crazy for a night to only be told you're ok. Anyway, I couldn't think of many good decisions that Dixon has made over the three seasons. I liked the stuff with Annie and her mom dealing with the money situation. Good episode overall.

Thoughts On The Storm Chasers Premiere - October 13, 2010

The new season of Storm Chasers is underway and the teams are already out in the mix of it. By the looks of next week's episode, the TVN crew is too much in the mix of it as they head toward Yazoo City, MS. This first episode focused a lot on what occurred last season with the problems between Reed and Joel. They decided to team back up this season but are still not seeing eye to eye on everything including on what storms to chase. I like that the show really doesn't show any favoritism to anyone. They let each person give their side of the view and you pick your side on who you think is right. The two started not getting along again as the decision turned to whether to go to Mississippi and do an all night drive. The advantage was that there were some major storms likely to be happening. The disadvantage was that there were some major storms likely to be happening in bad terrain including lots of trees and also dealing with this after a full night's worth of driving. The TIV crew is having some communication issues. Josh is back at it this season as he is needing a better shot from inside a tornado. Josh decided to make some changes to his team including taking Byron out of the TIV and letting Matt sit in his place. Byron definitely saw it is a demotion while Josh's call was to have Matt in there so they could communicate better. You may remember that they had a lot of communication problems last season with their radios going out during the storms. However, Matt and Sean are already clashing on what storms to go after and their approach to intercepting these tornadoes. Josh also now has another IMAX team following the TIV getting different camera angles so Sean is directing two different vehicles now. The TWISTEX crew with Tim in charge is continuing to do what they do. They just get the job done. He showed off some of his new equipment to Sean which looked really cool. I like Tim. He just really uses his head and knows what storms to go after and which ones to not attempt. He stays level headed and gets a lot of data collected from tornadoes. There is still some major tension between the TVN and TIV crews over the similarities of the TIV and the Dominator. Like I said earlier, the show let both Sean and Reed give their point of views on it and let it stay at that. Next week's episode looks very intense and also very sad where you see that human side of the tragedy of these horrible storms. The Yazoo City tornado will be covered and the TVN crew is looking like they're going to be possibly the first on the scene to help.

Storm Chasers Premieres Tonight - October 13, 2010

The new season of Storm Chasers premieres tonight on Discovery Channel at 9pm central time. The finale that aired last season was incredible TV to watch with Sean finally getting his big camera shot from inside a tornado, the TVN crew got a little too close when intercepting their tornado, and the TWISTEX team was right there doing great work as well. Sean had battled for years to try and get that shot to finish his movie and it was exciting TV to see it finally happening for him. The new season will follow the same teams although the previews tease of changes. Based on the video that has been shown so far, it looks like another wild season of TV is set for Storm Chasers. Be sure to tune into the one of the most addicting and adrenaline pumping shows on TV. Here is a preview video of it.

One Tree Hill & Life Unexpected Crossover Event Tonight, BB12's Britney Debuts On Super Pass, & More - October 12, 2010

Tonight is the big CW crossover event. One Tree Hill and Life Unexpected cross worlds. On Life Unexpected, the radio station will be hosting a concert. In that concert will be none other than Haley and Gia from One Tree Hill. If there are some OTH fans that haven't checked out Life Unexpected, hopefully this will give them a chance to check out the show. I've really enjoyed Life Unexpected and am glad that it is back for another season. It's a good story and cast. The cast really takes me back to my WB viewing days of the past and that is a good thing. The fans do so great with getting the word out about this show and I hope to see it grow and grow. I'm curious to see what happens on One Tree Hill from here. Nathan announced to Haley that he was done with basketball. The decision was not only because of his deteriorating back but also the fact that he isn't being able to know his son like he wants. He learned from Julian that Jamie is great at baseball. Brooke learned that her mom had basically worked a deal where Brooke keeps the company but all the investors lose everything they had put into it. After getting a visit from one of those investors, Brooke was looking to overturn it and give back all she could to them since she knew how badly they had been wronged. Quinn and Clay continue their recovery as she was released from the hospital but he is still in there. Haley was looking to give back to others after fighting her depression by helping at a crisis hotline. Tune in tonight at 7pm central time on The CW for One Tree Hill followed by Haley and Gia invading Life Unexpected at 8pm.

If you're a Super Pass subscriber and still have your membership active after the end of Big Brother 12, tune in tonight at 5pm central time for Britney's first show. I'll be tuning in for sure.

DVR's have really changed the landscape of TV. Many choose to record shows and watch them at their convenience as opposed to live TV. When you see the live ratings for a show, many wait to see if they get a boost from the DVR numbers. The DVR ratings have been released for the new fall season. Hawaii Five-O and Grey's Anatomy led the way with the biggest boost. It seems like several of the new shows did well in the DVR numbers which does include the new NBC show, The Event. New shows jumping doesn't surprise me. I would likely do the same thing with new shows and record them for later to see if they're any good. Once again, several regular CW shows jumped as well including The Vampire Diaries and Supernatural which had good increases. The CW shows have seen significant jumps in the last year when DVR numbers get added in. The Big Bang Theory, Chuck, Survivor, How I Met Your Mother, and Glee were also among more of the big increase in viewers.

TV on DVD releases for today. First, another re-release of the Buffy and Angel box sets. If you haven't gotten them, what are you waiting for? Staying with the Joss Whedon theme, the second and final season of Dollhouse is out on DVD and Blu-ray today. Other releases include: C.S.I. Miami (Season Eight), Ghost Whisperer (Season Five), The Tudors (Season Four).

Laura Vandervoort Returns To Smallville For "Supergirl" Episode & A Preview Of Episode 200 - October 11, 2010

Laura Vandervoort made her awaited return to Smallville on Friday night's episode which was fittingly enough titled, "Supergirl". A really fun episode and I thought Laura was awesome in it. She had her full red and blue colors going on. Kara had this confidence to her that I don't think we've really seen in that character. Yeah, Kara still had her moments that drive Clark crazy such as saving the crowd at the beginning of the episode and fully showing her identity as a hero. She seemed to be the one that was having to show Clark some things that he wasn't realizing. That leads to her talking of how he still is unable to fly. That gets us to the training scene of him taking off but then stalling as he got way up in the air. He crashes back down to Earth landing in the barn. Hilarious scene. She also had to inform Clark of how Jor-El had disowned him and that Jor-El was now relying on her to stop this big bad that is coming. Saying the words big bad reminds me of the Buffy days and puts a smile on my face. The story of the episode also focused around Gordon Godfrey, played by Michael Daingerfield, who had written a book about how the super heroes are super menaces. He was of course overtaken by this dark smoke that arrived at the beginning of the episode which led to the book and the media blitz. He had a lot of plans including him planning to out Oliver as being the Green Arrow. That put Lois on the case to help protect Oliver including her framing Gordon in a club. Lois ends up not realizing what she is up against with Gordon. Kara and Clark make the save. The ending of the episode was one that will get people talking with Oliver deciding that it was time to come out of the shadows. He revealed to the press that he was the Green Arrow. Very good twist. This season has been awesome so far and if you're not watching it, you're really missing out. This Friday will be the big 200th episode of the show. What a landmark for Smallville to reach 200 episodes. It looks like it will be a lot of fun with them playing off of the show's past with the high school reunion. TV Guide has this exclusive trailer of the 200th episode. Really looking forward to it!!

Miranda Lambert Rocks The CFSB Center In Murray, KY - October 8, 2010

Miranda Lambert brought her Revolution tour to the campus of Murray State University last night in Murray, KY. The CFSB Center played host to the concert and it was a packed house. If the building wasn't sold out, it was as close as it could be. A big crowd was into the concert from beginning to end. Josh Kelley opened up the show and got the show off to a fun start. The crowd really enjoyed him and he went through a lot of his new music while also adding in some older stuff as well. Eric Church took the stage after him and performed for around an hour. I am not as familiar with Eric Church so a lot of his music was new to me. Definitely a rocker sound to his music mixed in with the country sound. Miranda Lambert walked on stage around 9:00pm to a very lively crowd. She opened up with her new single, "Only Prettier" and then right into Kerosene. Kerosene is one of my favorite songs of hers and the background on the stage looked great with the song. "Famous In A Small Town" got a Murray and Kentucky touch to it having Murray signs put up in the background on the screen to give it that nice personal touch for the Murray crowd. "Dead Flowers" is a favorite song of mine and it just has one of those addicting beats to it from the beginning. She slowed it down even more with "More Like Her" with her walking out and sitting on the walkway and singing a lot of it with the spotlight on her. It looked really good. One surprise of the night was her cover of "Rock N Roll Hoochie Coo". I was not expecting it and she did stepped up big doing it. That was one of my favorite performances of the night. Speaking of favorites of the night, that gets me to "The House That Built Me". This is one of my favorite songs of hers and it sounded awesome. It sounded great at Nashville Rising back in the summer and it did at Murray too. At one point, she stopped singing and let the crowd pick it up for her. They were singing it loud and didn't miss a beat. Miranda loved it too. She started to wrap the show up with her big hit "White Liar" which was a big crowd pleaser getting everyone up on their feet. Fun moment at the end with her pausing before finishing the last lyric. She then picked out a guy in the audience and pointed saying "white liar" finishing the song. She did do an encore coming back out in her own sports jersey. Fun show and the crowd was really into it. There were a lot of her songs that I wasn't as familiar with that are off of her Revolution album but I know all of her hits. Miranda definitely has that mix of country and rock with her show. Miranda's personality really showed in this concert and it really connected with the crowd. She was showing off that engagement ring too from Blake Shelton. She left the Murray crowd very happy with their Friday night at the CFSB Center.

Chuck, Survivor, Monica and David, Will Wright Project - October 8, 2010

This week's Chuck had a lot of reunions going on. Well, one being that Chuck and Sarah had to deal with some of their past nemesis. Steve Austin and Nicole Richie returned and stirred up trouble. That wasn't the only guest stars though as Stacy Keibler also was in this episode. Austin and Keibler worked together in WWE and they got a fight scene against one another which was fun. So, Nicole's character kept getting at Sarah and bugging her with her relationship insecurities. The writers are doing a really good job of having Chuck and Sarah going through their relationship troubles courtesy of a good spy story. I loved the story of the video game at the Buy More. Basically, the big video game release was happening for Spy Attack. Big party for the release only for the store to get a few copies which is way less than the amount of people in line. This let Big Mike have his return to the store which was great to help Morgan. That story didn't end like I thought it would. When Jeffster started acting the game moves out, I thought that the real life spy drama that was going on on the roof would end up in the store looking like a video game reenactment deal made for the crowd. That would please them for the time being but it ended with Big Mike taking on Stone Cold. I loved it!! Big teaser at the end involving the wedding ring. I don't expect anything to come of it if I had to guess.

This week's Survivor continued the trend of the power struggle going on with the older tribe. Jimmy T continued to gain attention with him wanting to have a chance to show his leadership. When it comes to leadership, Marty has made it clear that he wants himself to have it. After another loss for the older tribe, Jimmy T was voted out. It looks like Marty's comfort of how the game is going for him is going to end next week with the previews showing a merge.

I got two pieces of info to pass along to you. The first is the latest HBO documentary entitled Monica and David which airs on October 14th at 7pm central time on HBO. The documentary follows the story of a married couple living with Down syndrome. It shows their wedding and also the challenges that they have to face as they start their life together. The documentary won the Best Documentary Feature award at this year's Tribeca Film Festival.

The second piece of info is about a new Truman Show like bit of TV entertainment. Will Wright, who is behind The Sims games, is now producing TV. Bar Karma is a series where the viewers are in control which is being developed by Current TV. Here is what the press release says on how the show will work:

Step 1 - Joining - Viewers will log on to "Current TV's Creation Studios" at www.current.com/barkarma through their computers and mobile devices and join the online community.

Step 2 - Creating - Viewers will submit potential story idea on an ongoing basis. Each week the show producers will provide the viewing community with a rough outline for the upcoming episode. Viewers will then have the ability to create various storyboards of unlimited plot possibilities.

Step 3 - Voting - Viewers will browse, comment and merge various ideas for the episode. Final proposals will then be reviewed and voted on.

Step 4 - Producing - After the final storyboard is selected by the community, Hecht and Worldwide Biggies will adapt, shoot, produce, and edit the winning storyline into a 30 minute television episode.

Bar Karma will premiere on Current TV in early 2011.

NBA 2K11 Hits The Shelves - October 5, 2010

Today is a big day for NBA fans, Jordan and Bulls fans, and sports game fans. Today is the release for NBA 2K11 on the major systems including PS3, XBox 360, PC, and PS2. Well, except for the Wii which apparently has been delayed until October 19th. It's nice of them to not let that bit of info really get out there until today but what can you do? Anyway, there has been a ton of hype on this game and the reviews have been very good for it. Michael Jordan has been put on a video game for the first time in around a decade. You can also play with classic teams as well including the Bulls, Celtics, Lakers, Knicks, Pistons, and more. The game also has what is called the Jordan Challenge. You have to do what Jordan did in those games and you will unlock features in the NBA 2K11 game. I've seen video of the 92 Finals game and it looks awesome. Incredible detail in it. Here are the games that you are able to play in and just thought I'd share some memories along with it. I also have your goals of what you need to do to accomplish the challenge.

The Arrival - April 20, 1986 - 1986 Playoffs - Game 2 at Boston
Score 63+ points and shoot 50%+ from the field
This is the game that really put Jordan on the map in Boston Garden. Larry Bird was in awe of what he watched. The Bulls were up against a monster with that Celtics team but Michael Jordan made sure that people were paying attention to him and what was yet to come. Incredible 63 point performance.

69 Points - March 28, 1990 in Cleveland
Score 69+ points, shoot 50%+ from the field, win the game.
This is Jordan's highest scoring game and he did it in Cleveland. Just one of the major frustrations that he gave the Cavs over the years.

Shootout - 1990 - Regular season vs. Dominique and the Hawks
Outscore Dominique, Hold Dominique under 25 points, win the game.
Jordan vs. Dominique. This was always a showdown when these two hit the court against each other. They loved to compete and try to one up one another. Each always brought their "A" game. Everyone always talks about their dunk contest showdowns but don't forget about the amazing scoring exhibitions that they had against one another.

Bad Boys - May 26, 1990 - Game 3 Eastern Finals vs. Detroit - 47 points
Score 47+ points, win the game
Jordan vs. Detroit. This was still in 1990 so the Bulls were still one year away from getting past Detroit. This is a prime example of what players and teams should strive for now. Keep fighting against these teams. The Bulls were eliminated several years in a row by Detroit but the Bulls kept getting that experience. They learned from those mistakes. This series in 1990 was a physical battle as it always was against the Bad Boys of Detroit. One of the great rivalries in NBA history.

1991 NBA Finals vs. Lakers
Average 31.0+ points, shoot 55%+ from the field, win the series
After the sweep and Detroit walking off the court not shaking hands, the Bulls moved on to the 1991 Finals to face Magic and the Lakers. This was the ultimate NBA matchup. Jordan against Magic. I'll never forget watching this series. I had cheered the Bulls for so many years and would be bummed watching them get past Detroit. They get to the next level and took off from there. The Bulls would win this series 4-1 wrapping up the championship in Los Angeles. Jordan stepped up huge and the switch hands layup has made highlight reels for almost 20 years now. Pippen stepped up huge and was put on Magic for defense. The Bulls would finally win their first championship and me and all the Bulls fans were excited to say the least.

The Shrug - Game 1 of 1992 NBA Finals
Score 35+ points in the first half, Make 6+ three's in the first half, hold Drexler under 20 points, win the game
Talk about another game with a highlight reel of it. Jordan lights up Portland for 35 points in the first half including a HOT three point shooting exhibition of six three's hit. That finished with the shrug. The Bulls made a huge statement in this game that they were ready to go back to back.

Double Nickel - March 28, 1995 at New York
Score 55+ points, shoot 55%+ form the field, win the game
After Jordan's stint in baseball, he returned to the NBA. Jordan was working his way back into shape and all of us Bulls fans were thrilled to see the man back in uniform. Jordan had some early struggles in his return but this game really showed that he was back. Lighting up MSG for 55 points. The winning play wasn't even a shot from him as he passed to Wennington for the dunk to seal the game for the Bulls. Incredible performance in New York.

Father's Day Victory - June 16, 1996 - Bulls win 4th title
Score 22+ points, get 9+ rebounds, win the game
After Jordan's retirement in 1993, there was wonder of if the Bulls would reach championship status again. Jordan returned, Pippen continued to grow, and Rodman filled that rebounding spot that had been trouble for the Bulls in 1995 after Horace Grant left for Orlando. The Bulls won their 6th championship this night and it culminated the 72-10 season setting the mark for the most wins for a team in NBA history. Who can forget the emotion of seeing Jordan crying on the locker room floor after the game as he won on Father's Day?

The Flu Game - June 11, 1997 - 1997 Finals - Game 5
Score 38+points, get 7+ rebounds, win the game
This was the game that had all of us Bulls fans worried. A tied series with Jordan battling serious flu symptoms. Add into the fact that this game was in Utah. This is still the gutsiest performances that I've ever seen. He can barely stand at points of the game and you can just see the misery on his face as he sits on the bench. Yet, Jordan scores 38 points including the game sealing three pointer. Then, there is the classic shot of Pippen carrying Jordan off the court to the bench. This game would send the Bulls back to Chicago with a 3-2 lead and the Bulls would win Game 6 to clinch their fifth title.

Michael's Last Dance - June 14, 1998 - 1998 Finals - Game 6
Score 45+ points, get 4+ steals, win the game
Game 5 of this series was a really bizarre emotion from me. Game 5 had the Bulls up 3-1 in the series with the game in Chicago. They could seal it on their home court. There was this strange happy but sad emotion. The Bulls were introduced to the home crowd and you knew that this was the last time. The team would be broken up after the season and everyone had confirmed it. Yep, the Jerrys decided that breaking up the team would be better than say, I don't know, winning another championship. Ahh, the days of frustration of Bulls fans when we all were in awe of the decision making of the organization. Game 5 was a moment of that we were saying farewell despite going for that sixth championship. What was a sad 'don't let this end' kind of moment turned into something completely different when they lost Game 5. Game 6 in Utah got the game faces back on of everyone that this series has to be won tonight to not let Utah force a Game 7 at the Delta Center. Pippen gutted through dealing with a very hurt back. Another sign that this series did not need to go another game. Jordan put the exclamation point on it with 45 points and the storybook ending of a game winning jumper to seal the sixth championship. It was a bittersweet ending and the team would be broken up over the next several months.

Now, NBA 2K11 has brought back the fun for this Bulls fan. Being able to play with the classic Bulls teams going against the current NBA or against those classic teams that we either loved or loved to boo. I just can't decide to run with the 92 or 96 Bulls against the current league. The reviews are great of the game so far and I look forward to checking it out.

Chuck, Amazing Race, Cancellations, & More - October 4, 2010

Hey NBC, it would be really nice if you'd help promote Chuck. It is on your network after all. Just saying. Last week's episode was a fun one and I'm enjoying this season. Jeffster returned to the new Buy More after Morgan realized that the store ran a little too efficient. Make that way too efficient for it to be the Buy More. The old crew was recruited and brought back after a talk with the General who saw things his way. The General even rewarded Morgan with the promotion to store manager. Why hadn't Sarah unpacked yet at Chuck's? She finally did but the end of the episode definitely showed that she has issues especially with marriage. Her eyes definitely lit in a bad way when Chuck even mentioned the word marriage. The two of them working through their issue while on task was a lot of fun. Tonight's episode features the return of Steve Austin and Nicole Richie. Chuck and Sarah had quite the battle with them in their previous run ins. Stacy Keibler also guest stars on tonight's episode. Episode three of Chuck tonight on NBC at 7pm central time.

Last night's Amazing Race had the annual trip watching the teams sweat it out while their cab drivers made driving moves that would make anyone pass out. Line of the show goes to the one team who said "I want my mom" while watching their driver fly through traffic. Did you see the two cabs that forced a third lane? WOW. Brook and Claire finished first on this leg of the race and are looking like a tough team early on in the race. Remember where they finished last week despite Claire taking a watermelon to the face!! Andie and Jenna were eliminated which was a bummer for me. I liked that team and was pulling for them.

Two casualties already for the new fall season. Lone Star was cancelled by Fox and then ABC cancelled My Generation. I've said this before and I'll say it again. I really don't watch many new shows until they've gotten off of the ground. I've seen networks push shows hard to get you to tune in only to cancel it after one or two episodes. Fox has been the one to get me the most on that. I'd still love to know how Reunion was going to turn out. Anyway, this is how TV is now. If you don't perform right out of the gate, there won't be any patience for you to build an audience.

Back To The Future Returning To Theatres, Survivor, Life Unexpected, & More - September 30, 2010

Back To The Future will be returning to theaters for its 25th anniversary. Unfortunately, it will not be nation wide but you might be in luck to have it in a theater near you. AMC Theatres is set to host the event which will be on Saturday, October 23 at 12:30pm and also on Monday October 25 at 7pm (exactly 25 years since Marty McFly traveled back in time). All of the guests attending will get an exclusive full sized post commemorating the 25th anniversary while supplies last. There will also be movie related giveaways before the movie starts. This is very exciting. I just wish that there was a theatre near me so I could attend too. Count me as jealous of all of you that are going to get to attend this event. Nothing really surprising about Survivor this week. I am not surprised to see Jimmy Johnson go home. He did well out there but just was seen as too much of a leadership threat by several in his tribe that wanted to take him out. The problems continue on the young tribe with them not getting along. Naonka and Kelly B. had a battle over the clue to the immunity idol which was a big moment on this episode. Does Naonka like anybody? She is mean in every one of her interviews. I still keep trying to figure out what Kelly did to insight such anger from her. It looks like that feud will carry over into next week's episode.

Warner Brothers put out a press release announcing a January 4, 2011 release date for season one on DVD. Wow, what is up with the delay there? That DVD should have been out before the new season started to help gain more interest in the show. If you haven't checked out Life Unexpected, you need to cause it is a really good show.

Britney and Kristen are going to be hosting two separate weekly shows. Britney's show will start on October 12th and be an every Tuesday thing. Kristen's show starts on October 7th and will be on every Thursday. Don't forget that there are plenty of chats and all to come as well. Back To The Future 25th Anniversary Hollywood Gala Set For November 5-12, 2010

The Amazing Race Premiere Thoughts - September 27, 2010

The new season of The Amazing Race started last night on CBS. I found it funny that the whole promotion of the season premiere basically was "watch this poor girl get hit in the face with a watermelon". That was what every promotion that I saw of it was. The moment happened and wow, it hurt to watch. Kudos to Claire on finishing the task and also her and Brook finished fourth. Solid premiere and I feel better about this cast than recent seasons. Recent seasons of the show have just had me losing interest midway through. The cast is more compelling so far with their stories and there are some fun personalities this season. I had been hoping for a new twist in the race and we now have that with the express pass. The team that won the first leg of the race would win it. The express pass allows that team to skip any task in the future during the race. The dating couple, Jill and Thomas, won it when they finished first. Who was going to be eliminated really depended on who had the least mistakes. It came down to Nick & Vicki and Ron & Tony. It seemed like neither team could catch a break on their bad day. Ron & Tony were eliminated. There are some interesting teams on this race with some dating couples that are either newly dating or have been dating for a while. This race will make or break some of those relationships. I like the story of Andie and Jenna which is the birth mom and daughter team. They just recently reunited and I believe that they said that the race had brought them together in person for only the third time. Like I said, solid premiere and I enjoyed it. Hoping the rest of the season will be better than recent editions as well.

Smallville Season Ten Premiere - Thought and Recap - September 25, 2010

The final season of Smallville is underway after last night's great premiere. It is clear from the start that we're going to be going through the history of this show in this final season. There are going to be twists and turns that go back to the past. There was a lot of it in this episode. I liked a lot of what went on this episode and it set things up really well for what is to come as the show heads to the finish line. First, the thing that stands out the most is the incredible scene that closed the episode with Clark and Jonathan. How great was it to see Tom Welling and John Schneider together again? That was an incredible scene. I'm assuming that we're going to be getting more things like that in the future including Lionel Luthor. The episode started off where we saw that Clark was apparently saved and brought back. Jor-El made it clear that he didn't bring him back so I'm assuming it was Lois that gets the points for bringing him back by pulling out the blue kryponite. That is unless I missed something in that. Jor-El told Clark that a bigger evil was coming so he went for Lex. That whole story in the episode of the Lex clones was interesting. Tess was moved to a facility that included a bunch of Lex clones that Lex had created to try and heal himself. We later learned from the much older Lex clone that the real Lex didn't live to see if it worked. Tess was healed and saved the young Lex clone. Clark and the older Lex clone had a conversation about their history. Lex put the spin on it that Clark was his own worst enemy and that his pride always got in the way. Clark ended up having enough of him and almost choked him to death. He let go but the Lex clone didn't survive but it was pointed out that he was near death anyway. The Lex clone left a task for Clark of big magnitude where he set the Daily Planet globe to fall to the ground and cause a catastrophe. However, Clark also had to deal with the fact that the Lex clone had his own history lesson. He captured Lois and tied her up in the corn field. Hello flashback of the series premiere. How wild was that to see with us being taken back to that whole scene? Clark is able to save both Lois and the people at The Daily Planet. That was when Jor-El really let Clark have it on that he wasn't turning into the person that he had trained him to be and that the big evil that was coming was within himself. That led to the conversation with Jonathan that ended the episode where Jonathan gave him one of those great speeches that we're always accustomed to and how he can't always listen to what Jor-El has to say. The scene was so great and really made you think back on the early days of the show. The relationship between those two was such a HUGE part of this show's history. I'm not going to lie. I had tears in my eyes while I was watching it. It was that good. What about Oliver and Chloe? Well, I'm assuming the way that this turned out is how Chloe will be written off of the show for a while since she isn't going to be appearing full time this year. Oliver was captured and beaten while tied up. Chloe found out where he was including some other future events based off of her putting on the Fate helmet. Oliver was told that he was free to go and we saw them pass each other with hoods over their heads. Yep, Chloe traded herself to the captives to save Oliver. Lois did find out Clark's secret and now knows everything. She did take the job in Africa after all the happenings in this episode. That sure looked like the arrival of Darkseid at the end of the episode. The way they played up Clark pushing the Planet globe back up to the roof teased that he was flying but I almost wondered if he didn't. I did see him jump off of that taxi so it looked like he jumped and pushed it up. He did tell Jor-El that he almost felt like he was flying in that moment. Awesome, awesome premiere. I loved it. So much was set up and I love that we're getting a major homage to the past. We're definitely going to be going full circle with this final season and I'm excited to see what happens.

Smallville Premieres Tonight, Survivor, Kristen Bell Talks Veronica Mars, HBO Shows, & More - September 24, 2010

The tenth and final season of Smallville starts tonight on The CW. It's exciting but yet bittersweet as a fan. I am really going to miss this show and this amazing group of people that make this show happen.

Two episodes into this season of Survivor and one thing comes to mind. People are losing their mind out there!! LOL. I have seriously never seen this many people lose their mind this early on in a season of Survivor. We have people snapping at things going on and filling shoes with sand to bury in the water. People losing socks and stealing other people's socks just because they can. We have people burying themselves in tribal councils. This is definitely a season so far where you just need to lay back and be quiet. Let everyone else sink themselves with talking. The tribes have been split with younger against older. I haven't decided if I like the medallion twist in the game yet or not. Too early to tell. It's something different anyway to mix up the game a bit. So, who is going to lose their mind next or will it just be a continuation of someone that already has? That game will mess with people's heads for sure and it's being proven this season.

Kristen Bell has been doing her promotion for the new movie, "You Again". She was asked the question that we always want answered by all of us Veronica Mars fans. Anything at all new on the movie front? Well, not so much. The story is about the same with Warner Brothers feeling like they wouldn't be able to turn a profit on it. Big Bang Theory, OSCK Magazine Debuts, Chuck Premiere, Community - September 23, 2010

The Big Bang Theory had its season premiere tonight and it was a funny episode. For me, the highlight was Penny being stuck on the date with Sheldon and his new "girlfriend" played by Mayim Bialik. Really funny stuff especially with Penny trying to stir the conversation. Yeah, that didn't go so well for her. LOL.

Another show that I watched tonight was Community. I have never watched the show but the guest starring role of Betty White got my attention. So, I recorded it and watched it later in the night. Yeah, my priority obviously goes to The Big Bang Theory live. I enjoyed Community. Funny show and I was able to jump right in pretty easily despite not having seen any of the first season. Betty White was great and I enjoyed the cast overall.

Chuck premiered earlier this week with a very strong season opener. Chuck and Morgan were on their mission to find Chuck's mom. While Sarah and Casey were on their own mission which ended up being tied into the mom mission. Chuck and Sarah are my favorite TV couple and I really liked the direction that they are going in this episode. Chuck has turned into someone that can protect Sarah now and doesn't have to rely on her all the time. The standoff segment in the episode was really the first time that I had the feeling of Sarah was the one that was needing rescuing and realizing that Chuck had it under control. Big Bang Theory Premieres, Harry Potter Trailer, Storm Chasers, TV on DVD, & More - September 23, 2010

Don't forget that the season premiere of The Big Bang Theory is on tonight on CBS at 7pm central time. This is its new night so keep in mind that the show is now on Thursdays!! Speaking of The Big Bang Theory, I want to send out get well prayers for Kaley Cuoco who is recovering from a fractured leg. Get well soon Kaley!! If you have not watched The Big Bang Theory, you are really missing out on a great show. I've been hooked since the first episode and am really looking forward to the season four premiere tonight. Make sure to tune in and give this show a great push of viewers on its new night!!

If you love Lost's Terry O'Quinn and Michael Emerson, on screen as much as I do, they just signed up for a round two. Vulture has the story about NBC picking up the rights to a J.J. Abrams produced project that would have the two starring in a brand new series. This is fun news. Those two have an incredible chemistry on screen. When they were on Lost, you knew you going to get some great scenes when you'd see them paired up.

If you're a fan of the Discovery Channel show, Storm Chasers, you're not far off from the season premiere. I'm a fan of it as well and the video put out so far to preview it looks intense. I was following online the adventures of Reed and the TVN crew back during tornado season and I'm excited to see the new episodes. Storm Chasers premieres on October 13th at 9pm central time.

American Idol Finally Names The Judges, How I Met Your Mother Premiere, & More - September 22, 2010

After months of waiting followed by a couple of weeks of reports of what the news would be, American Idol finally unveiled the new judge lineup for season ten. Randy Jackson will return but will have two new judges by his side which will be Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez. The show is returning to a three judge format obviously with that news. I don't really have any certain opinion on it. I'm a long time fan of the show but the show has been weakening in recent years especially this past season. With Simon Cowell leaving the show, the show fell even further down. Viewership is down and we'll have to wait to see if this new season will bring judges back. Honestly, this announcement did nothing for me as far as excitement for the show and I like Steven Tyler. What will season ten hold for American Idol and can they get rolling again? Time will tell.

I haven't watched any other new shows this fall season yet. Just not very many that grab my attention. The one show that does is on Fox and I just have my rule with Fox. Don't watch new shows on there. They'll promote it to the moon, get you interested, and then cancel it possibly after one episode. So, I've learned my lesson from them after getting burned way too many times.

How I Met Your Mother premiered this past Monday night. There is a lot of hype on this season with the producers saying that it is going to be their best season and that the show will focus more on an overall storyline instead of standalone stuff. The cliffhanger at the end left all of us fans wondering what wedding that Ted was at. The Saget voice said that he met his wife at this particular wedding. With Lily in a bridesmaid dress and with Ted and Marshall suited up, my first thought was that they are at Robin's wedding. I am really excited about this season of the show.

I did not watch The Event this week. Lots of hype on it and unfair hype. Here is my recommendation to the networks, shows, and whoever. PLEASE do not hype a show saying that it is the next Lost. I literally groaned when I saw that in the promos for The Event. That puts way to much pressure on a new show and makes people have huge expectations of a show. Remember FlashForward? It was promoted as the new Lost. Where is that show now? Just put a new show out there and promote it. Don't link it to huge hit shows to try and grab those fans. If it disappoints, I think you're in worse trouble than you would have been if you just promoted it on its own.

Live With Regis and Kelly has been doing their Guinness Book Of World Records week with people attempting to break records. There have been a lot of fun ones to watch including records set for most free throw baskets made in an hour, lowest limbo contact, and more. However, today was the most fascinating to watch and I couldn't take my eyes off of it. The LIVE audience participated in the record for human mattress dominoes. 380 people participated in this which was quite the happening to watch. It was one of those things that looks so silly but yet it is so great. LOL. Here is the video to check it out.

Big Brother 12 Crowns A Winner - September 15, 2010

Big Brother 12 has officially come to a close. Tonight's finale has wrapped up and we have a winner. First, part three of the final HOH competition took place and it was won in a tiebreaker by Hayden. Hayden chose Lane to go with him to the final two which meant that Enzo was voted out. The jury was put together for the live questioning. Nothing really that interesting although Matt did take some shots at him being ousted from the Brigade. Lane was asked if he would have stayed loyal to the Brigade or Britney if he had chosen who to take to the final two. He lied and said the Brigade. Later, the video was shown of him saying that he would have taken Britney when the reunion took place after the live vote. The live vote did take place and it was closer than I thought it would be. I didn't expect a tie vote with Enzo being the tie breaker. Hayden won on a 4-3 vote. The results of the voting was that Enzo, Matt, Ragan, and Kathy voted for Hayden to win. Britney, Rachel, and Brendon voted for Lane to win. The winner of America's Choice for favorite houseguest was Britney!! $25,000 to her. Loved it!! Ok, the reunion part of the finale. It was the best part of the show. The second saboteur was revealed with Ragan and the jury was stunned to learn it was him. The Matt lie was revealed to the final three and they were shocked as was everyone in the past. Speaking of reveals, I loved that Britney got to reveal to the jury about the Brigade alliance with the special shirt upon entering the jury house. The Kristen and Hayden relationship in the house was shown on the reunion to the house. That was a funny moment. I love the moments when you get to see the house react to things that they didn't know. So, Hayden wins Big Brother which I thought would happen. I thought he sealed it with his competition wins late in the season.

Super Pass is doing live interviews in the backyard with the houseguests on the live feeds. Just some random recaps on it. Kathy was just asked if she knew that Enzo thought that the "S" in the note he got was for "sheriff". Kathy got a huge laugh out of it. Britney said that she didn't see Rachel much in the jury house as Rachel was with Brendon most of the time. You can tell that Britney is getting a ton of Lane questions. She confirmed that she did lie about the goodbye to Rachel. She told Rachel that she recorded two goodbyes which was a lie. She said "duh" to the question laughing that of course she lied cause she wasn't expecting Rachel to return to the house. Britney talked of how she was devastated about the Brigade reveal but that she knew she could either be happy or sad during her last days in the house. She chose to have fun with the friends that she had made for her last few days in the house. "Just The Tip" was brought up and Britney was thrilled to learn that it was a hit. I loved it. Matt said that he came up with the wife lie before the show started on doing something like that. He said that he just blurted it out at the beginning of the show and had to run with it from there. He did regret throwing Ragan under the bus and also said that he knew he was the low man in the group from early on. It wasn't something that he learned late in the game but said he did not know that the others were so determined to get him out. Matt still is battling over the creation of the Brigade. Matt said that Enzo created this deal of making side alliances but yet Enzo was the only one that didn't have a side alliance with anyone. We'll have a battle going on for a while over who started the Brigade between Matt and Enzo. Ragan was asked about his trashing on the other houseguests on the feeds. He said that the people that he disliked were doing bad things to him in the game so he didn't feel bad about it. He feels that he and Matt will remain friends. He did not regret throwing the competitions to Matt saying that he didn't feel like he was a target at the time. Looking back on it, he said he would have put up Brigade members. Rachel was asked why she chose to have a showmance so early in the game and put a target on her back. She said that she didn't plan on it but fell in love. Rachel said that her and Ragan would never make up saying that Ragan won't accept any of her apologies. She was asked about the imitation in the HOH room and whether she knew that they were laughing at her and not with her. She said that she did know it. Enzo said that Matt is lying about putting together the Brigade. Enzo was asked one why he ate when he was a have not? He said that he was given a warning but that he is the meow meow and that is why he can get away with it. Lane was asked about Britney. He did a lot of joking around about it saying how he had picked on her so their relationship is healthy. He did say that Britney was his type and a sweet girl. Lane was told about his dogs having been missing but that they had been returned. He was obviously happy to hear that news. Lane did say that it was a strategy of his to lay low in the early part of the game. Hayden was asked why he didn't take Enzo and he felt that Enzo could have beaten him. That was pretty much the highlights of the interviews that I saw.

I do want to finish this by saying thank you so much to the live feed updaters. You guys work really hard to help keep us up to date on what is going on in the house. When the rest of us are away, you do the work and we're able to read and catch up. Thank you to all the fans who made this season a lot of fun as well with reading the message boards. Watching the feeds and reading the forums at the same time is an absolute must and makes the live feed experience so much better. TBS Cancels My Boys, Survivor Premiere & Big Brother Finale Tonight - September 15, 2010

TBS has canceled My Boys after four seasons. The season finale aired on Sunday night. The way it tied up almost did make it feel like a series finale. I wonder if they knew something that we didn't. Such a shame to see such a funny show get canceled. Well, what else is new? The good shows get canceled while a lot of bad ones continue on. Welcome to the world of TV. Thanks to the producers, cast, and crew for four fun seasons.

Big night of TV tonight on CBS. The return of Survivor as season twenty one premieres. Wow, I have watched twenty one seasons of Survivor. Amazing to think about it. It will be a battle of the ages and there will be a new twist put into the game this week that I read about in Entertainment Weekly over the weekend. I'll just leave it at that and let you see it happen or read about it in EW if you want to. Tonight is also the finale of Big Brother 12. There is really no drama going on in the house. The guys are just wasting time to get to finale night. I am still amazed that they have had to stay in the house for another week since the last competition. I am predicting a Hayden win in the final competition and also a win overall. I don't think Lane or Enzo can beat him. The only chance of Hayden not winning is if Lane wins the competition and doesn't take him to the final two. The real show is going to be the reunion of the houseguests, the jury house, etc. That is where our drama is going to lie. The jury questioning could be very interesting especially when Britney shows up at the jury house with the news of the Brigade alliance.

Lost Viewing Marathon Going On In London - September 15, 2010

There has been a Lost marathon going on over in London at the Prince Charles Cinema. Carlton Cuse tweeted about it earlier in the week. 280 people gathered in a theater in London watching all 121 episodes of Lost in a row which should finish on Thursday. It is said to be an 80 hour marathon with the last fan standing being declared the biggest Lost fan in Britain. Breaks are taken from time to time and paramedics are there to watch over the participants. As of earlier today, nineteen fans remained with another day to go. It appears that they are into season four of the marathon. This is a really fun idea and I'd be curious to hear the thoughts of the viewers on things that they might have picked up on watching the show in that marathon form. Thoughts On The One Tree Hill Season Premiere - September 14, 2010

The new season of One Tree Hill is underway after tonight's premiere on The CW. I enjoyed it. Good premiere. First off, it was great to hear the theme song back on the show. I have missed it as have a lot of fans. Lots of happenings in the episode including Brooke getting arrested, a love triangle, a pregnancy announcement, and the fact that we're going to have to wait just a little bit longer to find out the fate of Quinn and Clay. What about Quinn and Clay? Well, you may remember them being shot in the finale last season. There were all sorts of signs through this episode that we were in some sort of dream sequence with them including Clay pondering about how they were the only ones on the beach. The episode ended with Nathan at the door and there being no answer as they lay unconscious inside. Haley is pregnant. That will be a fun story to follow this season just as it was with the arrival of Jamie in season four. How funny was the stuff with Jamie and Chuck and the computer trying to figure out where babies come from? Haley and Nathan bombed with trying to find a way to tell Jamie the answer. When I saw them with the computer, my first reaction was that this can't end well. LOL. Brooke is arrested. It turns out that Victoria and Millie lied about the success of the business in the weak economy and Brooke takes the fall. So, we'll wait and see how that scandal will play out. Brooke and Julian are engaged and were starting to make their plans before the scandal hit. Then, we have the new couple of Alex and Chase with Mia being the one on the outside looking in. A few random thoughts. Like I said, I loved the theme song being back. Great choice of music and the music is so important to this show. The Grease scene with Haley walking in on Brooke and Julian was funny. If you were on Twitter tonight, you got a fun time with several of the cast posting comments and answering questions including Sophia Bush, Jana Kramer, Austin Nichols, and Lisa Goldstein. That is one of the many things that I love about this show is how they are always giving back to the fans. This has to be the most fan friendly show that I've ever seen and I can't credit them enough for that. I enjoyed tonight's premiere and am looking forward to the rest of the season.

One Tree Hill & Life Unexpected Premiere Tonight, 90210 Premiere Thoughts - September 14, 2010

One Tree Hill moves to its new night of Tuesday night with its season premiere tonight. We got left with some definite cliffhangers on that show and I'm excited to see what happens. Based on the info that I've been reading about the overall tone of the series this year, I'm looking even more forward to it. Also, Life Unexpected returns tonight with new episodes. Life Unexpected has been a really fun show and I've admittedly gotten behind on it. Bad me. I need to get caught up on it so I can get rolling with the new season.

Last night was the 90210 premiere. I felt like I got blasted with new storylines in the last five or so minutes of the show Senior year started with an earthquake that got all of the new happenings of the season underway. Annie had done her time for the hit and run and was now free. I still thought the payoff for that season long storyline was lame to end last season. They built and built and then barely a whisper to send it out on. Last night, Annie applied for an internship and after being honest about her summer house arrest, she was given the job. However, the woman in charge seemed to have plans for Annie especially with her current state of being desperate to get back on her feet. Annie and Liam. Tension going there. Also, Annie and Dixon are having to help their mom as she deals with the divorce. Silver and Teddy are going well. However, Teddy ends up getting hurt in the earthquake and returns to play tennis too quickly hurting himself worse. Silver later caught him with Naomi as a very intoxicated Naomi was throwing herself at him. We learned that Naomi had hid in a hotel all summer from everyone after she was raped by the teacher at the end of last season. She looks to file charges against him when seeing he is still at the school but she continues to free fall. Definite weird triangle, wait make that a square I guess, with Dixon, Ivy, a childhood friend of Ivy's, and Ivy's mom. Yeah, it was just weird. Adrianna was in a car accident after returning from her tour with the pop star. He basically informs her that she is done and her career is about to go bad. Then, an accident happens and he is killed. She takes the song book of his and starts to use the songs. Navid told her it was the best stuff that she had ever written. Overall, I mostly enjoyed the premiere. There were things that I liked. Things that I didn't like. I didn't like the love triangle-square at all. Just seems really forced and bizarre. As usual, I like most of the Annie storyline stuff. Teddy's injury provides some story possibilities for him and Silver. The Naomi storyline with the teacher could be interesting with her looking to get revenge. The rest of the Naomi stuff is just usually way too over the top for my liking. There are times where this show really feels like it goes off the rails with storylines and just overdoes things. The shows seems the most enjoyable to me when they keep the stories simple. We'll see where they take season three from here.

My Boys Season Finale, CW Shows, & More - September 13, 2010

My Boys wrapped its season up last night on TBS with a one hour block of episodes. Fun season that saw the group making changes in their lives. Brendan probably had the most changes. Wait, that isn't true based on the finale last night. Mike got married!! Wow!! I did laugh at how that relationship got started with her basically just continuing to show up at his door and doing all she could to get his attention although he was clueless. LOL. I loved her approach of that she was the new neighbor and had heard a bunch of barking over night. She asked if he had a dog. He didn't. She then asked if maybe he had a wife or kids that make a lot of noise. He didn't again. That opened the door for her to know he was single. My first thought was..…BRILLIANT. LOL. That was great writing right there. Anyway, she has been a good addition to the cast. Brendan's changes for the season was him moving out of P.J's. and into his own place. Then, he saves Crowley's at the end by buying it. How did I not see that story unfolding was what I thought at the end of the episode? P.J. and Bobby continued their relationship and P.J. had to decide how much a dream job would mean to her. Would it be worth changing her life for? The answer was no and she chose her crew over the job. Fun season. Fun show.

I checked out the H-Cats series premiere last week. Yeah, I'm just going to put a hyphen on that show name. I enjoyed it. I was amazed at just how many cast members from other favorite shows of mine were on this show. The story revolves around the college cheerleading squad. There are two different stories of desperation going on. One is the cheerleading squad who is in danger of being cut due to budget cuts unless they perform and win. The second is the story of Marti. Marti is a scholarship student and learns that her scholarship has been cancelled. She learns a little too late after her mom doesn't inform her of the news. If you didn't see it, her mom isn't the most responsible. Marti basically is desperate to do whatever she can to stay in college and brings her gymnastics talents back to the forefront. She goes for the cheerleading squad. This clashes with both team captains, Savannah and Alice. The first episode had Savannah and Marti putting their differences aside and working to better the team. That doesn't appear to be happening with Alice though who is going to cause all kinds of trouble based on what we saw in the last part of the episode. This show has a lot of cast interest with me. Several of my favorite shows are represented with former cast members including One Tree Hill, Buffy, and American Dreams. Plus, you have Tom Welling of Smallville producing it. This is a show that I see as being a fun competitive sports story with drama added in. I liked the first episode and will be continuing to watch.

The season premieres roll out on The CW this week. 90210 starts tonight on its new night along with the season premiere of Gossip Girl.

Little People Big World has returned on TLC for its last season. I'm sad to see this show ending soon as it is such a fun show. The Roloffs have been a lot of fun to watch over the years. They are going to definitely be missed by all of their fans. Tune in tonight on TLC at 7pm central time.

Thoughts On The Big Brother Week - September 13, 2010

The Week Of Big Brother. I'm late on getting this up on the site. This was the week that the live feeds went dark…..for a long time..….taking out the last interesting thing to watch..……and returning..….to watch the guys sleep. No real surprises last week with the happenings and that is unfortunate as a Britney fan. She had to win veto last week to survive and didn't get it. So, let's start with the beginning of the Big Brother week. Hayden wins the HOH and decides to put Britney and Lane up on the block. No surprise there. Hayden wins the veto. I'm kind of surprised cause I really thought Britney might pull out the win. Hayden doesn't use the veto which keeps his nominations the same. Enzo is the lone vote and votes Britney out of the house. The first part of the HOH competition was held and was an endurance competition. Enzo was the first one out and was out at around 20 minutes if I remember right. Seriously??!! LOL. He got on the nerves of Hayden and Lane when he went in the house and fixed him some food. He came back out and ate it right in front of them. Yeah, they weren't happy. LOL. Hayden and Lane battled for nearly two hours with Hayden pulling out the win. Yeah, it figures that we FINALLY get a good length endurance competition and the feeds are blocked. Thanks CBS. Glad that I pay for these feeds. The second part of the HOH competition was held with Lane against Enzo. Lane won easily and will face Hayden in part three on this Wednesday's finale. The winner will then get to choose who to take with them to the final two. The other big news of the week was The Brigade revealing to Britney about their alliance. I thought Britney took it pretty well until the guys basically were laughing in her face about it. The final straw seemed to be Hayden's smirky glad you won ten grand comment. That was when she realized that she had no chance. She left the room crying. We also saw the arrival of Ragan to the jury house. We also got another argument between him and Rachel. The argument was bizarre and basically had Ragan's point proven that things had been more peaceful since she left the house. It's true. The drama did leave with her as the arguments didn't happen after that. Ragan's reaction to the Matt's lie reveal was better than I expected. He didn't take it as bad I thought he would.

What You Missed On The Live Feeds: Well, the live feeders pretty much missed as much as the non feed viewers. I'll just leave it at that with the blackout that they did on us. It felt like a ratings move which I just don't get anyway. If it was a ratings move to get us to tune in, what's the point? We tune in anyway. We have to so we can get the rest of the story with the diary room stuff. Then, the ratings weren't as strong for that episode anyway which kind of made me laugh. Real was working hard trying to get programming on for the live feeders who were canceling left and right in anger over what had occurred. I have to give credit to Real for trying all they could including getting call in shows on the air to keep us entertained or at least more patient. I did watch the Brigade reveal to Britney on the feeds. It went basically as it was shown. She just listened and took in this information of what had been going on. She was basically fine until she realized that she had no chance of winning. She went to the diary room for a while which was likely the breakdown that we saw with her DR interviews on the show. The reaction in the room with the Brigade after she left was one of feeling bad. Enzo seemed to feel the worst saying that he hated that they had made her cry. They all basically felt bad about her crying. Well, if you mock her and laugh right in front of her making her realize that her game is done, what do you expect her to do? She did cool off and was fine later in the week including her playing cards with the guys. I thought she handled the whole thing really well overall including a classy exit with her interview. The feeds have been DULL since Britney left. The guys sleep most of the time and Enzo's mood has been terrible for a lot of it with him thinking that his chances to win are gone. I just don't understand why Big Brother left them in there for a week with nothing to do. That is a lot of time and I'm really hoping that something is given to these guys to entertain themselves.

Big Brother Line Of The Week: Actually, I'd just put any of those Zingbot lines from last night's best of episode cause they were hilarious. ZING!!

I listened to an interview with Matt's wife the other night. Good interview and she seems really nice. She had interesting takes on the season and how Matt had played the game. So, we have the two hour finale on Wednesday night. I'm predicting a Hayden win in part three of the competition and a Hayden win overall. I just don't see anybody stopping him. The most entertainment of the night will be the jury house and the questioning taking place. That will be where the fun of the show will be.

CBS Cuts The Big Brother Feeds Till Tomorrow Night - September 7, 2010

Big Brother fans are having an angry day after the live feeds shut down earlier today. CBS has shut down the Big Brother live feeds until after tomorrow night's episode. This message has been shown on the feeds to viewers: "We're sorry, but CBS is blocking the live feeds from Tuesday until after the Wednesday show". There is talk that the eviction episode will be taped tonight. So, with the feeds being shut down, what does that mean that we'll miss? I won't spoil anything obviously but there isn't likely to be any drama with who is going home on the next episode. It has been decided. Will we be missing the first part of the final HOH competition? It really sounds possible. The live feeders could be cut off on what is the deciding part of the game. The endurance part one is usually good and draws feed viewers. Now, I assume that is being cut out. I am trying to remember if part two ever airs live on the feeds and I don't believe it does. Part three obviously is on the live show. If the feeds are going to be cut out on this final competition, what has CBS really left all of us feed viewers to watch? I have to think that there are a lot of people canceling feeds today. Based on what I'm seeing online today, that is what is happening. On feed one, they are replaying previous episodes of Big Brother After Dark to fill the time with some sort of Big Brother programming for fans to watch. They appear to be airing from the beginning based on who I'm seeing in the house. So, fans are shut out until tomorrow night's episode. CBS definitely isn't making any fans out of people today.

SPOILER ALERT on the eviction. First, it appears that Big Brother After Dark will be a taped episode with footage that was recorded earlier today. So, that rumor appears to be true. Second, the eviction has taken place. Reports started coming from Twitter and are now popping up on other sites. Britney has been evicted from the Big Brother house. The first part of the HOH competition is taking place tonight. Real has been scrambling trying to get programming online to keep the feed viewers entertained. Believe me, there are a lot of people canceling their feeds today over what has happened with us being blocked. It's like getting to the championship game and then having the first half blocked from being viewed. Lots of frustration from Big Brother fans today.

Final Four Is Set On Big Brother 12, New HOH Is Crowned - September 2, 2010

The final four has been revealed for Big Brother 12. Tonight's eviction episode went as expected. Ragan was voted out despite giving an effort on why it would benefit Britney and Lane to keep him. It was a classy exit from Ragan and also by the houseguests. We saw the jury house full of evicted houseguests for the first time. It is always interesting to see the reaction of the jury house as each person is added to it. However, all of that was overshadowed by Matt revealing to the jury house of Rachel, Brendon, and Kathy that he had lied about his wife's health. It did not go over very well as expected with Rachel and Kathy being the most furious. Wow, just wait till Ragan gets that reveal. I actually thought that Matt wouldn't tell that till finale night but he said that he wanted to come clean since the game is over for him. The episode ended with the live HOH competition taking place. It was a Christmas themed HOH with the houseguests having to decorate their tree with ornaments. They had to reach through a fence and work the ornaments up to their destination on their tree. SPOILER ALERT!!! If you do not want to know who won the HOH competition, stop reading now. The feeds did not return until after the competition was long over and the final four was sitting at the kitchen table talking about it. Hayden was sitting there with the HOH key so there is your new HOH. So, the live feeders were robbed again. It does get annoying sometimes to be a live feed watcher. I still remember the live HOH competition a few weeks ago where we missed just about everyone being eliminated including them blocking when the winning moment happened. So, Hayden is the new HOH.

Thoughts On The Big Brother Week - September 2, 2010

After last week's double eviction episode, Matt and Brendon were eliminated from the game. The next HOH competition was held which was won by Lane. The obvious question with that is where is his loyalty going to lie? The Brigade or Britney? Well, it obviously wasn't going to be with Ragan who was put up on the block next to Enzo. Enzo was the pawn in the situation. OTEV returned for the veto competition and it came down to Enzo and Ragan for the POV. The two collided diving down the slide to get the winning CD. It was amazing to watch and thank you Britney for calling for the slow motion replay of it. LOL. Enzo finally wins something and is the veto winner. He takes himself off of the block and Lane has to choose between Britney and Hayden on replacements. Britney definitely got in Lane's head with the talk of that he can't beat Hayden in the final two. So, Lane is now paired up with Britney till the end for final two. Hayden goes up on the block and it's Hayden against Ragan. All signs point to Ragan going home especially with him knowing about the Brigade alliance. Lane opened up Pandora's Box this week which ended up being a money tree. He could possibly have won up to $10,000 in money but instead ended up with $91.17. LOL. Three punishments were inflicted on the house for the time after the box was opened. One was that all the eating and drinking utensils were gone. Two was that the houseguests had to wear a sock puppet with their likeness for 12 hours including them having to talk all the time with the puppet. Three was the dance party. For twelve hours, the houseguests would have to get up and dance every time the music played in the house for as long as it played. It didn't matter what you were doing at the time. That was hilarious!!

Overall Thoughts On The Week: It was an all right week. The Pandora's Box stuff obviously helped it a lot cause there was no drama with how things played out with nominations and veto. Ragan knew he was the target this week and had to win to keep himself in the game. Just some random notes of the show happenings. I loved the conversation with Enzo trying to understand golf. We do have a lot of these fun type conversations like that on the feeds and you just never know what he is going to say. Enzo's comments on the picture of Lane's brother was hilarious comparing him to The Undertaker. How hilarious was Ragan throwing that CD and hitting the clam AND it bouncing off to hit Enzo in the face? LOL. The puppets were hilarious and provided for some good entertainment. The likenesses of them were funny.

What You Missed On The Live Feeds: Well, you've seen most of the big happenings. We just saw it longer such as the puppets, dancing, and the ending of the penguin suit. I did think it was funny how they cut the ceremony. We get one line from Lane saying something to the effect of we'll miss you penguin. LOL. The houseguests were around the pool and Enzo asked them each to say something about the penguin.

It's 90210 Day - September 2, 2010

Today is 90210. September 2, 2010 which equals 9/02/10. A fun day to have a tie in to the TV series, Beverly Hills 90210. This is one of my favorite shows of all time and a show that I grew up watching. A generation of fans grew up with this show and grew attached to these characters that we watched grow over ten years. When the show signed off in 2000, it really felt like fans were saying goodbye to these characters that they had known and loved in that time. Now, we obviously had the characters going in and out of the series over the ten years although many did stay throughout the run of the series. I still find myself watching reruns on SOAPnet and remembering these fun episodes. I remember tuning in excited for the season to start early with the summer season premieres and wondering how the love triangle of Dylan, Brenda, and Kelly was going to turn out. The show tackled serious topics as well from teenage pregnancy, rape, drugs, and alcohol. Then, we also had the fun silly high school stories that were fun to watch. The show went on to the college years and into the real world beyond that with what the characters would do in their lives. SOAPnet will be airing its normal episodes today but I think that a marathon was in order. It is nice to see The CW airing a rerun of the new 90210 series but how fun could the promotion have been for the season premiere to be on the date of 90210? I get that the date doesn't fall on what its normal night would be but I think this would be a fun excuse for it. Plus, I wish the writers of the show would not completely forget its roots but that is another blog entry for another time and one that I've already done. LOL. Anyway, just a fun little moment of a day for us Beverly Hills 90210 fans. So, go get your custom license plates made that say I8A4RE, buy yourself a mega burger, put out an APB for Shannen Doherty to get in her Laverne gear, and by the way….Donna Martin graduates..….

Emmy Award Winners, Dancing With The Stars Cast Revealed, TV on DVD Releases - August 30, 2010

The Emmys were held last night and all I have to say is, well, that was one year overdue. I'm talking about Jim Parsons winning an Emmy for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for his performance on The Big Bang Theory. Only bummer is that the show was not nominated and neither were the rest of the cast who greatly deserved it. Some streaks continued while others ended. Mad Men won for Best Drama again but 30 Rock and The Amazing Race had their streaks ended. Modern Family beat out 30 Rock for Best Comedy Series. The Amazing Race lost to Top Chef in the award for Best Reality-Competition Series. Amazing Race had won the award for seven years in a row. Not really surprising as The Amazing Race has grown kind of stale in the last couple of years and that show really needs a boost of something. I say that as a fan from the beginning of the show. Lost was shut out which was surprising. Michael Emerson and Terry O'Quinn didn't win in the best supporting actor category. The two of them are amazing actors and were gold especially when they were on screen together. There was a lot of hype on Matthew Fox with many expecting him to win for best actor but it was not to be. Fox really stepped his game up this season and they really give him a lot of credit on the Lost season six DVD set. Some of the other big winners included:

I love seeing Jennifer Grey's name on this list. She could be a major comeback story and I am really hoping that she does well. Interesting list for sure that will have people talking.

Big Brother Eliminates Two - August 26, 2010

Tonight's Big Brother eliminated two from the game. The show got rolling with the live eviction of Matt which was unanimous. Before the eviction, we did see footage of how Ragan had finally put things together that the Brigade was an alliance. Tonight had a week's worth of Big Brother in one episode. The HOH competition was held and won by Hayden. Hayden nominated Ragan and Brendon for eviction. The live veto competition takes place and is a memory type game which plays right into Ragan's hands. He wins the veto and takes himself off the block. Hayden's replacement nominee is Britney. Brendon is voted out on a unanimous vote as well. That leaves us with the final five of Hayden, Lane, Enzo, Britney, and Ragan.

SPOILER ALERT!!! The HOH competition has already taken place tonight but was not seen on the feeds. In fact, we still don't have feeds back. Big Brother After Dark has been on for nearly 45 minutes now but yet the live feeds are still down. Sometimes it's so fun being a paying live feed customer. Insert sarcasm there. Lane has won the HOH competition.

Thoughts On The Big Brother Week - August 26, 2010

Well, this wasn't the HOH week that Britney was looking for. I think this week was more of a bad thing than a good thing. When we left off last week, I was cheering as Britney won HOH. She ended up putting Brendon and Enzo on the block. The talk then turned to what would happen in the veto competition. Yeah, this did not go well for Britney. This was one of those veto competitions where you buzz in on punishments or prizes. If you buzz in first to take a punishment, you get more points toward the veto. If you buzz in and take a prize first, you lose points toward getting the veto. The most memorable of this type of competition was during All Stars when Chilltown just kept taking all of the prizes. LOL. Well, it happened again but more in a bizarre way this time instead of humor. The Brigade had one of their own on the block while having Brendon on the block as well. So, Hayden and Lane went for prizes while Britney, Matt, Enzo, and Brendon were fighting for the veto. Hayden took the $5,000 and the trip to Hawaii. Lane took the phone call from home. Britney's reaction was of anger seeing people take the prizes when she is trying to get Brendon out of the house. Brendon and Enzo buzzed in on several punishments to get closer to the veto. Brendon took the 24 hour chum bath, the handcuffing to the houseguest of his choosing for 24 hours and picked Britney, and took a headshaving. Enzo got in there for wearing the penguin suit for the rest of the week. Brendon won the veto and Britney's plans were derailed. The Brigade's plans were on track as they were ready to get Matt backdoored. Britney was furious in the HOH room after it was over and she is seeing that she is doing the dirty work for the guys which is very true. She just doesn't see all of what is going on including how Lane is working her. So, Brendon survived and the guys worked Britney on putting Matt up. They filled her with information on that Matt was the one that took all the prizes cause he felt safe for the week. Britney puts Matt up on the block and now it is Brigade vs. Brigade.

Thoughts On The Week: My thoughts are all over the board this week. Likes and dislikes. Brendon is upset over Britney going back on their deal which is kind of controversial in itself because Brendon has said several times on the feeds that the DR told him that he couldn't nominate Britney. The reason was that he had told her before nominations that she was going up. So, he had to pick someone else. That is what he is saying so you'll just have to go with whatever you believe. I wish Britney could see that these guys are playing her but we really didn't get the full feel that Lane was playing her too until the episode aired last night and we heard his DR stuff. She really has done their dirty work for them and it might be too late now for a change. Pandora's Box returned and it did not go well for Britney. She got a visit from a previous houseguest including advice. It was Jessie and her advice was workout advice. The guys got a BBQ in the backyard including hula girls. So, while she is seeing Jessie, she is also seeing the happenings in the backyard on the TV. Britney also was handcuffed to Brendon for 24 hours this week. The reaction of the house to him taking the chum bath was funny. Britney's reactions in the DR to Brendon cracked me up. Her "help me" line had me laughing. Did you see her getting ready to do the rope hanging sign again before Brendon looked over at her? LOL.

What You Missed On The Live Feeds: Britney's birthday was on Sunday and she got a birthday cake. She got a song of "for she's a jolly good Britney" from the houseguests. It's so strange that they won't let them sing the normal "happy birthday to you" song. How can that be copyrighted??!! We did not see Jessie on the live feeds. The feeds went off for a bit and returned with Britney telling the story in the living room of what had happened to her which was seen on the show. I was disappointed that the show didn't really air more of her zingers at Jessie that she mentioned. Yeah, she was not a happy camper. The show really made the Britney/Brendon handcuffing deal look worse than it was. Yeah, she hated it but they were civil to one another and I thought they both made the best of it. On The Tip returned this week with it taking place in the HOH room. It was funny and I enjoy seeing them having fun playing up to the fans watching the feeds. Ragan had a moment in the backyard after the veto ceremony where he made an argument over how things were going in the house. I'm not really sure what point he was trying to make and the rest of the house was kind of clueless on it too. Basically, Ragan was hurt about Matt's actions in the house. Not a whole lot of happenings in the house as far as big events. I don't mind that either. Some fans have complained about it but I don't need drama 24 hours a day. Give me this group over BB9 any day. That season almost killed my love for the show. Everyone has their likes and dislikes and everyone has different opinions on things cause we're all different. I like this group for the most part and have enjoyed following them on the feeds. Yeah, some days are more entertaining than others but I thought that Britney's HOH blog put it into good perspective. They're all locked in this house for months and you're going to run out of things to do. Big Brother should give them some new things to do such as new games or something so that is a complaint obviously. I sometimes think that is why they verbally bash each other so much because it's the only thing to do.

Big Brother Line Of The Week: "Help me" - Britney during the DR session handcuffed to Brendon.

So, tonight's live show will have a double eviction. Will there be any more cracks shown of the Brigade? Basically, I'm speculating on whether Matt might blow it up or not. Will Brendon make another HOH comeback? Will Britney survive tonight? Lots of questions to be answered in a fast paced show of Big Brother tonight.

Grand Ole Opry Returns To The Opry House On September 28

The Grand Ole Opry announced its return to the famed Grand Ole Opry house during a press conference this morning that streamed online at wsmonline.com. The horrible flooding in Nashville back in the spring did a lot of damage to the city including the Opry. It was truly sad to see all of the pictures of that historic place under water. At the press conference, Brad Paisley and Little Jimmy Dickens installed the famous circle back into the Opry stage. The announcement was made that the Grand Ole Opry will return to the Opry house on September 28 at 7pm with a big lineup including Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley, Charlie Daniels Band, Trace Adkins, Josh Turner, Montgomery Gentry, Little Jimmy Dickens, Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, Diamond Rio, and Del McCoury Band.

Lost Season Six DVD Thoughts - August 24, 2010

Just some quick thoughts on the Lost season six DVD set that came out today. I have watched the bonus features on it and they are incredible. I'll start with "The New Man In Charge" and this is a spoiler alert for anyone that may be waiting to see it. This is the feature that has about 12 minutes of footage that was shot of the story of Hurley and Ben in charge of the island. In this feature, we see where the food drops were coming from until Ben shows up. That footage has been shown in a lot of the leaked video. Hurley has ordered for the stations to be shut down. The Dharma introductory video is shown to the guys in charge of loading up the food by Ben. This video includes talk of the experimenting that went on with the polar bears and shows the use of the cages including the biscuits. While those guys are completely clueless on anything, including them thinking the Dharma Initiative is going on, Ben doesn't give them a lot of answers except to give them a nice payment to move on to their next life. The next place that we go to in this feature is seeing the return of Walt. Ben goes to Walt who is staying at Santa Rosa. Ben talks about how they always planned on coming back to get him cause his home was on the island. When they leave, they get in the van with Hurley in the back seat. Walt and Hurley are thrilled to see one another and they talk of a job that they have for Walt on the island. That is pretty much it but it did give you that glimpse of what they had in store.

The other extras include an awesome behind the scenes of the final season. It is called "THE END - Crafting A Final Season". The camera crews show a lot of footage of them shooting including cast and crew interviews. It is a really fun production and just shows what all goes into making the show and the incredible emotion knowing that they were counting down to the end. It does a great job of capturing the last moments of the show. Several cast members are shown getting their last script. Jorge Garcia is shown actually reading the script and we see his first reactions to how things were going to play out. We also see several of the cast members shooting their final scenes and getting their curtain call. It is really powerful to watch that stuff. Then, we get the reunion scene with all of them getting together for the last scene. Emotional with Lindelof shown giving a thank you and farewell speech combined into one. Lindelof and Cuse comment a lot on what it was like to wrap up the show and their thoughts on shooting the final season. If you get this DVD set, make sure to take the time to watch this featurette cause it is amazing. It will pull on your heart strings in a major way and make you even more sad to see the show go. Then, we get the piano music brought in that always rips your heart in two over the years that is included in this featurette. This was so greatly produced. Another feature is called "A Hero's Journey" which talks of how all of the characters were heroes at some point on the island with whatever they were able to do. Everyone had different ways of stepping up to the challenge. This is also a well produced feature. "See You In Another Life Brotha" looks at the flash sideways world getting comments from the cast and crew. It's very interesting with them showing the comparisons of the plane happenings from the pilot episode and putting it next to the season six premiere. Returning cast members are interviewed and there is a hilarious moment with Maggie Grace being interviewed and then Naveen Andrews venting in the background about how the show messed up with killing her off. Bloopers are always a must with DVD sets and this one is a really funny one that gets most of the cast involved in it.

I have already seen the episodes and will be watching them again. So, for now I just checked out the bonus features of what I haven't seen. I can't talk about the commentaries cause I've yet to listen to them but do look forward to it. I'm a little disappointed that there isn't commentary on the last episode cause I would love to hear the thoughts on what was occurring to see if we might get some info of things that we didn't catch on to with watching the episode the first time around. Great looking set and I highly recommend it. Wow, I miss this show even more after watching it. Thank you to all the Lost cast, crew, and everyone involved for giving us such a great show!!

SPOILER ALERT!! Nominations have taken place and the veto competition took place today. On the block is Brendon and Enzo. The veto competition took place today and was won by Brendon. It was a competition similar to All Stars where you could buzz in to take prizes or punishments. Brendon has shaved his head which was something that he accepted. Money was a part of the competition as well but it isn't clear who took it or I've missed it. Enzo has to wear a penquin suit this week and he looks ridiculous. LOL. One thing too is that he had to give up his clothes as well so it appears that he now has no clothes. Britney is going to have to be handcuffed to Brendon for 24 hours which has not happened yet. Apparently, he actually picked Britney to be handcuffed to. Britney was mad over how it all turned out and had a good talk with Lane over what happened where he eased her down. Now, the feeds went off tonight for about 30 minutes or so. When the feeds returned, Britney was talking about opening a Pandora's Box. Apparently, it unlocked a Hawaiian Luau BBQ for the rest of the house while she says that she was stuck in a room with Jessie. Yes, that Jessie from previous Big Brother seasons. She says that the message said "how would you like to receive advice for an hour?" with a previous houseguest but said that she didn't know what kind of advice. So, she got workout advice for an hour. She said that he talked about himself the whole time saying that kept saying about how he was the best looking guy and built guy. She said that Russell was bigger than him and that Jessie was about her height. She did say that she got to watch the feast from inside while she was stuck with Jessie. The way she told the story was really funny. Yeah, she's not a fan of Jessie's, needless to say. LOL. We didn't see Jessie on the feeds so we just have to assume that she is telling the truth on this. I wondered if she was making this story up to cover for her getting something good in the Pandora's Box. However, with the house getting something good, it has to be sure that she got something bad. So, it appears that Jessie made a quick return to the Big Brother house unless we see otherwise.
